Great accommodation. Kids were shown around the animals (chicken, sheep, cows and dog). PS you can choose to have breakfast or not. $25 per person per day extra.
The location is amazing just a nice distance out of the town. The view is what takes your breath away from the the deck you can see down the valley all the way out the the sea. The inside is just as nice as the outside. But the owners are just so lovely and welcoming. Then you have Andy the dog and alley the cat and it's like you have just come home. In fact you will fine it hard to want to leave the deck and view to go exploring. Thank you grange lodge this will be on the list to revisit.

We loved being on the farm, situated on the top of the hill with beautiful views of Hawkes Bay. The kids thrived on having the freedom to explore and come and go as they pleased. Thank you Ros and Don for showing the kids what farm life is all about, what an amazing experience. The accommodation was superb and was complimented by the beautiful outside settings.We'll certainly be back to see you and all animals.
This was our second visit and we were not disappointed. It was a very nice feeling after 6 years to return and find everything looking the same; the self contained wood-lined lodge with its big deck,panoramic view over the Esk valley vineyards to the ocean, well-equipped kitchen and comfy bed. Roslyn and Don were very welcoming and we enjoyed a convivial dinner on our first night with glasses of Don's wine. For two people wanting to just relax and soak up the sun it was ideal. We tried out the mezzanine level and conclude that it's is more suitable for children or agile teenagers as the steep vertical ladder is somewhat challenging! Thanks Ros and Don for your hospitality - we've come away with more good memories.
