Great service in store, gave us all the help and info and left us to make our choice in our own time. Everything went smoothly and exactly as weβd been informed it would. Excellent coordination of delivery etc and most importantly we love the couch!

I bought a sofa that cost me over $4k. After 4 months I noticed that the fabric was pilling. This got worse over time. When I raised the issue with their customer service team they sent someone out to inspect it. This person agreed upon inspection that the issue was unacceptable. I was later contacted by the Nick Scali CS team who said they won't be refunding or replacing the sofa, but would only sent me something to shave the pills off. They also accused me of lying that they had sent someone around to inspect the couch, due to their poor internal comes processes. I have had nothing but rude and unhelpful correspondence with their team at all levels. Their products are not appropriately tested. An abrasive fabric should not be used for couches. All fabrics should be tested and durable to ensure they are fit for purpose. Be very careful buying from these guys. Their quality is very poor as is their customer service. Absolutely dreadful experience and I would not recommend buying anything from these jokers.

The shop, stock and sales personnel could not have been more pleasant . The delivery service was not. I had an email just before delivery stating the cost . which I expected these days , but also telling me that no packing will be removed by the carriers. had i known this,I would not have purchased from this store, as it is no longer acceptable for haulage firms to leave packaging behind . As one of the items was a large wooden crate, left leaning against the entry wall, as well as other packging which I put in the bin I have wrestled this heavy crate into the garage, now what to do with it? I am 82 years old and a widow and now want to know how will I get rid of it?

I donβt usually leave reviews. In this instance however I have to give my upmost thanks to Varnya at Nick Scali in Hastings for the absolute best customer service Iβve experienced in a really long time. She took the time to help me choose my next sofa, despite being very close to their closing time. I didnβt feel rushed and felt like she was taking the time to understand what I was looking for and make an informed recommendation. The sofa arrived today and was definitely worth the wait. I couldnβt be more happy with the quality of the sofa. Thank you so much for your help and I will recommend your store to others in the future.

Worst service and customer care I have ever experienced. The furniture itself is passable in quality, but prices are still high. Not happy at all and do not recommend. Stay away. New pricey furniture should at least come without a massive headache.

Very disappointed with Nick Scali. For a brand that tries to present itself at upper-market, they clearly have no idea what it takes to run a successful business in New Zealand. The quality of the furniture itself is average for the price. But the biggest issues is with the service: - They run a delivery scam whereas they pretend to subcontract the delivery to a freight company, so they can justify not giving discounts on the service (even for very big orders). In actual facts, you find out that the people who deliver actually work for Nick Scali and out of their Auckland warehouse. - They make their customers pay for the trip of the same truck that delivers the stock to their local branch, charging a minimum and outrageous $250 per delivery. - Even at that extortive price, they will still leave you with all the packaging, that it cardboard, wooden support and most disgustingly, a completely crazy amount of polystyrene. At an age where we know better and there are eco-friendly alternative, they show absolutely no regard for their own environmental impact. - Our first delivery arrived half broken. The staff still tried to convince us to accept delivery as the furniture (massive cracks and broken legs) was 'still useable'. I kid you not. - Their dispute resolution process starts with a lot of insulting behaviour to the customer from the branch manager, who will also attempt to throw under the bus any staff member that they can sacrifice (guessing not a great place to work at either). - Once they finally agree to compensate you for the troubles they have caused, and then compounded, it will take weeks before you see any money showing on your account (4 weeks on and we're still waiting). Overall, we are extremely displeased with the whole experience and do not recommend Nick Scali to anyone looking for good furniture and customer service. There are much better alternatives from already established businesses.

Service and Delivery time were great. Product is a beautiful piece which we love. Our issue is with the third party delivery service which is used in Hawkes Bay. They were not going to put the item together, which is part of the service in which we paid (made it very clear we wanted to collect and put together ourselves) Obviously no tools, as all the screws and bolts were not tightened, parts fell out when we tried to move it into place two days later as I was waiting for a reply from them Customer Service before I touched the unit...scratch and chip on bottom of the unit. Spare pieces left on mantle piece, which actually needed to go into the unit, and when I returned home after work have seen they scratched up my rimu wooden floors. Absolutely disgusted with this service and it sounds like and absolute nightmare to get this resolved quickly as I need to go through so many different call centers and departments. Have plenty of photos.
