I have been trying to ring the reception to make an appointment. The line has rung continuously for the last 25minutes, with no answer. The recording said I was 3rd in line. It's ridiculous to stay on the line for that long with no options for a call back or pick up. Horrible service!

Their new GP Dr Faulknor is truly fantastic. The nursing staff are experienced and friendly, I always enjoy my interactions here.

We had an appointment that we booked in last week via my usual GP, The Doctors Greenmeadows, for today 1/9/25, at 11:30am. We had it booked for the Ahuriri branch as we couldn't see my usual GP who was booked up. On the day of booking it was confirmed to be at 11:30am. We rang again on Friday last week to double check and we were told yes, all booked in for 11:30. We got to the practice a few minutes early for my appointment and ended up waiting for nearly an hour without being seen while other patients who came in after us were seen first. Finally the receptionist noticed we'd been sitting there for ages and double checked the day's bookings. She'd discovered we actually weren't booked in until 1:30 in the afternoon...... So luckily they were able to squeeze us in to see a doctor which I am grateful for. The doctor was lovely and pleasant to talk to. I will give the team at Ahuriri credit for slotting me in. But I'm certainly not impressed with having to wait for nearly an entire hour, and be told someone had stuffed up our booking time when we were told twice it was booked in for 11:30am. Not sure which branch it was but won't point fingers and the matter has been resolved. Nonetheless my review may help encourage better communication between different practices. Luckily they could fit us in because I had another appointment at 2pm and wouldn't have been able to do 1:30pm.

A survey from this practice highlighted the poor telephone answering but nothing has changed and we have to drive into the place to book an appontment or do anything else at least 50% and probably more like 75% of the time. However their phone system does tell you that "your call is important to us" which is very comforting. Other than that, we have experienced the same issues as other reviews;, scripts not sent to pharmacy, never get seen at appointed time, at least 30 minutes and sometimes an hour waiting, and generally not proactive enough,

Went in for a flu shot yesterday to The Doctors Ahuriri, the receptionist was masked, as were all the patients in the waiting room, went through to the cubicle and noticed all the clinical staff were unmasked, including the nurse who treated us, and other staff going past the cubicles. I left as soon as I had my jab, the nurse commented I had left in a hurry, my husband told her we were uncomfortable with unmasked people in close proximity, he said she then pulled a face. We informed the receptionist on the way out nobody in the clinic was masked and that we felt unsafe, and thanked her for wearing a mask. Such an unprofessional, and unsafe practice, won’t be going there again.

Not taking enrolments on due to poor administration process. Clearly very unorganised and using common sense to help their patients. Would avoid.

Worst experience ever for a medical centre. Definitely would never recommend them to anyone. First time at this centre, just changed my doctor , I found Dr Sweetapples bedside manner appalling, no empathy, basically tough luck the system cant help with my chronic condition. Not informing me on the phone before i went in for first visit on how much it would be, far more than expected, had to get my son to pay for it. Asked for a prescription, quite a few needed medication, told was sent to pharmacy but wasn't, having to make return trips and phone calls to chase it up. My son( who is also my caregiver) was waiting in the waiting room, with about five other patients, all waiting for long time to see a doctor, all EVENTUALLY told they have to wait longer, all well past the arranged appointment times, or was told to go to the Napier centre instead.

Sarah the receptionist is lovely, Dr Brits is so peaceful, caring and professional. The nurses have a great sense of humour and are so very friendly and also professional. This is a really modern facility with employees that are both deeply human to their patients and professional. Nga mihi nui! Robert Heaps
