   Ordered small blue cod. Yep it was small!!! Also ordered onions on top (extra $3) it covered about 3 chips. Pitiful. Not sure if it was their problem - but came down with Novovirus later that day. Sorry won't be back!!

   Here for a birthday party. Place was busy for a Saturday night. Meal was nice enough. Ham steak was delicious but disappointed the chips were under it as they went soggy quickly. Wait staff were friendly and helpful.

   Went there on Friday around 6pm for some food. The bar was packed but there were plenty of tables available in the restaurant part (still part of the bar). Staff were friendly, we grabbed a couple of drinks and a table. Typical pub food menu although pleasantly surprised to see pavlova on the dessert menu (not one I see very often in NZ restaurants/pubs). I got the Ribeye steak with mushroom sauce, fiancee ordered the chicken burger with mushroom sauce (not the listed spicy mayo on the menu, they made it up for her). We were about halfway through our drinks and the food arrived. The meals were generous sizes. My steak was massive engulfed in the mushroom sauce with plenty of perfectly cooked fries, a good helping of salad/coleslaw, peas and a surprising slice of orange. I ordered a medium rare and it was possibly a little more rare (but only slightly as it was a decently thick steak) but it was very good. It had the juicy fat on it that I like (I know not everyone likes the fat but I find it’s where the most flavour is). It wasn’t the best meal I’ve ever had, but it was a hearty sized meal, well presented and delicious with perfectly cooked fried/chips. The chicken burger looked massive, I’ll eat the leftovers today as my fiancee couldn’t finish it all (doggy bags supplied unlike at least one restaurant in the city we’ll never return to ‘GC’). The pub had a really lively and family atmosphere, multiple screens for sport, platters were going around (not sure if it was part of a function or Friday night free finger food). Steak meal was $36 and the chicken burger was around $25. We’ll definitely go back again. Photos don’t really do the meals justice, they’re already half eaten by the time I took the photos.

   What a find! We wondered why it was so busy on a Monday night, until we got our meals. This is pub food at its best. Great food, beautifully cooked and reasonably priced. My blue cod had crispy batter, with moist, generous fillets inside. Couldn't fault it. If you're in Dunedin and want food like it used to be, try the Concord Inn.

   Nice friendly atmosphere, real value for money, the meals were a good serving, staff very friendly and helpful, well worth going for a meal and good atmosphere, the place won't disappoint, happy dining

   Had a night out here with work family. Great night. Got the blue cod meal. Absolutely delicious except the chips. Too many and they weren't good. Food service was excellent. Bar service, average. Barman didn't even check to see if payment approved before he moved on to the next customer .. I know it was busy .. but still. Great night though
