What an excellent time we had at the Duke of Wellington recently. Excellent and engaging bar service, cheese platters were wonderful and the whole vibe was 5 star! It's a real Dunedin institution- keep up the fantastic work!!
One of the most amazing bars I’ve ever been! The architecture is stunning, the service was excellent, the choices of beer were exceptional! We came all way from Brazil and couldn’t be happier with our beer choice!
What a selection of beer! If you are in Dunedin and missing the UK reminds you of home. So many choices and a very friendly owner passionate about what he does…..good job I don’t live here be in daily.
We were on an early Monday afternoon and it was . Most bar were closed. Nevertheless nice bar with lots of different beers. I took a Wellington ale great. My wife had a thatchers cider loved it. Great interior.
This was honestly the most beautiful pub I have ever been to. The ceilings were absolutely stunning. It looks as though you’ve stepped into the Victorian era when you go inside; then you look at the bar and see a beer tap for every kind of beer you could think of! The owner is a really nice man and was up for a chat with everyone and anyone that walked in. And ladies, there’s some hooks on the outside of each table/bar to hang your handbags on! He’s thought of every little detail! Will definitely be back the next time I’m in Dunedin!

Drink was great. A little pricy for non-alcoholic gin drink. It was A very nice place to hang out with friends.
Fantastic place to hang out and catch up with good friends. The selection of beers is great and so is the host. (Michael) The decor is unbelievably stunning.
Been a while, but same great pub, great hosts, oh, did I say great beer. Great. Would recommend going here for a nice time out. I'll be back.
Stopped through here for a sip while visiting NZ - beautifully restored building with a great selection of classic and new beers on tap. Michael was very friendly and full of knowledge on the area with a clear passion towards beers and old-school hospitality. Thanks for adding to our great trip to Dunedin!
