   Update: 2nd time experience with another older worker today, Full on attitude with no intention to help. - do better at hiring people. - a lot of the younger workers are nice. Generally love shopping at briscoes, although didn’t have the best experience with an older worker at front desk. Came across quite rude and passive aggressive and was getting frustrated because she struggled to count the number of plates we were purchasing. Great Manager very helpful with the situation

   Each time I go to briscoes (especially the Dunedin one) the employees are always frustrated or annoyed. Today I went to buy 2 High Sierra bags. Mainly looking for the marine blue, which is currently available on the briscoes website and the Dunedin store. The staff didn't bother looking in the back, but then said "you can just order it on the kiosk" then when I tried, guess what, the colour marine blue was blocked out. So after dealing with that, I had to buy 2 green bags of the same type. Only one was available on the racks so I took one and asked at the counter that if they could check the back to see if there's any extra. They said "yes" and handed me a second bag which had no brand tags, clearly dirty and used. When I asked the person who I was dealing with they said this, "oh yes, we can discount-..." But then another worker on the desk nodded "no" . So the person that we were dealing with said, "I just asked another staff member, and we can't offer you a discount for this bag" first of all, I was standing there the whole time and apparently she went and asked another staff member about the discount for a clearly used and dirty bag. Since my kids school was going to start next week I had to take it. I hope that no one else has to deal with this and that they get what they paid for when they pay the full price for a "brand new item". Badly disappointed. 0 stars if it was possible, now my kid has to take a dirty and used bag which i paid full price for.

   Briscoes Dunedin is a great place to find homewares but not a parking. Parking is indeed a headache , which actually gave me one. Literally. However, a wide selection of products, furnitures, appliances to bedding and homewares. Amd sometimes great SALE. The staff are friendly ( IF YOU CAN FIND ONE WHILE IN NEED) and helpful, and the store is well-organized to be lost. But after 3 or 4 rounds of hiking, you get the hang of it. quite easy to navigate if you have a sextant . I would definitely recommend Briscoes Dunedin to anyone looking for homewares in Dunedin or to keep their wife busy. Girl go in a silent mode here and that feel of tranquility..ah!! The store can be crowded on weekends if anything in Dunedin can get crowded, and prices can be higher than at some other homewares stores. However, the wide selection of products and the friendly and helpful staff make Briscoes Dunedin a great place to shop for homewares.

   Great homewares store. They are the main place that I purchase bedding, whiteware, utensils, cutlery, and the occasional kitchen gadget from. Most recently we purchased some new bedding and an electric blanket during the kings birthday sale. They almost always have things on sale, and we were able to get 2 queen sheet sets and a fitted queen electric blanket all for about $100 during their sale which was up to 60% items, which was a very good price. All around, I am extremely happy with the service they provide and would recommend them very highly.

   I have had a terrible time with a click and collect the website said in stock and 1 item wasn't. Rung 3x about it and no one helped me. I ended up really frustrated with the whole process . Was told I'd get emails was given an 0800 number to call . The item had been in Dunedin since yesterday but still no email. Spoke with Sarah from online sales and was super helpful and fixed it in the space of 5 minutes ! Keep up the great work Sarah , every store needs a Sarah !

   It has been quite difficult to find what I want the last few visits here. The online stock indicator seems incorrect but in their defence it is like that for most big stores. Staff are friendly but weren't that helpful in my case. The quality of goods is great and you always walk away with a bargain.
