Long Ping Takeaway keeps things classic fish-and-chips and focused on flavour. Pricing lines up with the offer. Good value shows in the serve sizes. Breakfast plates are tidy and satisfying. KΕ«mara fries and sides add a tidy finish.
Staff were nice, ordered fish and chips + a donut. Chips were nice but fish was absolutely covered in too much batter and partly raw at least 1cm worth of gluggy batter on one side of the fish
Long ping Takeaway is by far the best fish and chip shop in Dunedin. I walked in and i was greeted by a lovely boy, he was very nice and well behaved. He asked me how my day was and was a great server. I ordered chips and a hot dog and the hot dog was golden and well cooked absolute lovely. same goes as the chips, perfectly cooked and by far best fish and chips i have ever had. Highly recommend!!!!
This fish and chip shop is an absolute standout β the kind of place that gets everything right, from the perfectly crisp, golden batter on the flaky, tender cod to the thick-cut chips that are fluffy on the inside and cooked just right. The portions are generous, the food is served piping hot, and even the sides like tartar sauce and mushy peas taste freshly made with care. The staff are friendly and efficient, and the whole place has a clean, welcoming feel. Whether you're dining in or grabbing a takeaway, this is traditional fish and chips done exactly as it should be β simple, satisfying, and consistently excellent.
Went to the egg foo yung section and selected the only steak dish and was automatically given steak fried rice even tho I was in the egg foo yung section as the photo shows.
Bought chicken fried rice, yummy, $15 medium, and $17 for large. Size is massive. Quick service too.
Stopped by after a day at the beach for the kids. Chips, hot dogs and blue cod were all good with good sized portions. Reasonably priced too. One of the better chip shops around!
Gutted, came down to town from central to have my favorite sole fillet onion sausage and chips, cost $12.50 the Fish and sausage were over cooked, chips no better as the oil was rancid. Giving a one star was generous, the wife told me to take them back but we were already heading out of town.
No complaints! Food is good if not great. Good basic fish and chips is a winner. Those renowned onion sausages are a must!
I ordered onion sausage and Bacon and cheese burger. The burger was as big as my palm, yum! The onion sausage was the best so far that's I've tried. Recommend to everyone!
