Absolutely amazing food! I never knew they were here! Thanks for suggesting by our friends. This is the best Korean food i ever had! It definitely blown me away. The fried tofu and the side dishes which is the kimchi is absolutely amazing! And the most yummy of the night is the beef bulgogi!! This restaurant is a must try!

As a family visiting from Singapore, we always make it a point to eat at Korea House Restaurant on George Street, sometimes several times during our stay in Dunedin, where we've been regular visitors (2016, 2022 and 2023). The food is authentic Korean, very tasty and the owners go out of their way to make us feel at home. Highly recommended!
I have been their customers since 2001 and their food always so tasty and homely. Good customer service. Atmosphere is not romantic or uptown but homely. Shop is very small so when they are full, it can be quite noisy. Price is cheaper than other Korean shop. But smaller portion. Shop is upstairs so no good for elderly or wheelchair. Stairs are pretty narrow. We did buy take away after dine in as well. So cute they writo the thank you note on the bag.
The food was quite nice however I would have like a bit more fillings, side dishes and flavour for the price.
We went on a busy night and it took about 15 minutes for the staff to clean the table for us. The menu does not describe the dishes written in Korean so we had to ask the waitress about them, would like to get at least a sentence stating the type of meat in the stew and noodle dishes. The food was nice and steaming hot, for my Gamjatang the meat slided off the bone. The side dishes were too small in my opinion. They had discount for students.
Ordered Bibimbap through delivereasy and it was absolutely delicious! They also said thank you on the bag and in Korean! Loved it :)
Lovely place to have Korean cuisine, tasty, portion is big for me and I can share. A good place to visit in Dunedin. Friendly staff and good service. Well done!
The best authentic Korean food restaurant on the South Island. Please someone take me back there. Kimchi chicken fried rice is highly recommended
