Food was very delicious, Amed was very very good and looked after us, checked in we were happy. I would recommend they space diners out away from others and not shove couples meeting, next to family dinner if they have spare dining table options which they did. Felt squished when there was spare tables.

Went for my birthday, the staff was lovely and checked in regularly to see if we needed anything. Our meals were lovely however we upset with the portions. I got a Johnny Stash which now requires $5 for the coleslaw. I was given less than a handful of buffalo chips with my chicken for $35. We were all talking about how we would always have heaps to take home and feel full from Lone Star but we were still hungry after our mains so a bit of a disappointment there.

We had the most wonderful experience tonight! The service from Waris was absolutely excellent from start to finish. Waris was friendly and attentive. We came to celebrate my partnerβs new job, and the he went above and beyond to make the night special. At the end of our meal, we were surprised with a little pavlova dessert to celebrate the occasion, this was done by Waris as well! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was prefect. We will be back very soon βΊοΈ

Went without a reservation as it is our first time in a while, Waris helped us secure the closest reservation. Jess was helpful with the orders, we ordered a βspiderβ which is no longer in the menu and it arrived! Waris accommodated to our dietary guidelines (halal) and helped taking our photos at the restaurant. Overall, we had a great time!

We had the most wonderful experience celebrating our wedding anniversary at Lone Star. Our server, Waris, went above and beyond with his warm service and attention to detail. He even surprised us with a very special treat at the end of our meal, which made the evening unforgettable. The manager at the front was equally superb, creating such a welcoming atmosphere from the moment we arrived. The whole environment was beautifully maintained by these two gems, making our night truly perfect. Thank you for making our anniversary so memorable!

Hard to enjoy meal because of the old, small and very uncomfortable chairs. Would have sat in booth but the booths are too narrow and as a plus sized person was squeezed in their like a panda in a pantsuit. On plus side, I still love their Dixie chicken and their banoffee pie was awesome. Service excellent and food arrived quickly. I really like that they bring jellybeans with the check. Food reasonably priced

Old fashioned diner. Had dinner here on my last night in Dunedin. Didnβt regret it. Order calamari, lamb and pork. Full on American portions. Calamari 4/5 - beautifully seasoned and breaded. Lamb 4/5 - nicely done. Mash was excellent. Just was perfect. Pork 3.5/5 - meat was a little dry. Other than that good dish.

Came here to dine on my birthday and boy, was I in for a treat! Lovely service overall, very friendly and was definitely spoilt. Ordered the ribs as per usual, cooked very well, had generous amount of sauce on top and was delicious! (Note that however I have found that when cooked in bulk (Lonestar was the venue for our end of year class dinner), I've experienced very dry ribs-inconsistency in-preparation?) great salad, not soggy at all, and average potato wedges, not super crisp. Also got offered salt and pepper seasoning in the fanciest way through a very long shaker by the flamboyant waiter and was definitely pleased! For dessert, creme brΓ»lΓ©e and longhorn cheesecake were picked. Creme brΓ»lΓ©e was delicious, the topping excellently crisp and sweet with a loose silky pudding base underneath. The cheesecake was well balanced with the whipped cream and it was very creamy and decadent. Not too sweet but chocolately enough for that sweet tooth fix! On the house items were the kiwi pavola with a cute candle on top, and the waiter also offered us tea! Super fancy set up, and we had little cups of milk on the side too! Was such a lovely surprise. Definitely recommend going on your birthday for a special meal, had a lovely time! This ended up becoming my yearly birthday routine-ribs at lone star!
