Nando's Octagon delivers a classic fish-and-chips offering that’s straight to the point. Views add a quiet lift to the visit. Ribs and steaks come seasoned and tender. Value feels fair for the spread. Good value shows in the serve sizes.

Yesterday my daughter and her husband got food poisoning from nandos. It's the second time. First time an accident. Second time is carelessness handling of food. We will NEVER go back to Nandos. Definitely do not recommend nandos

Delicious food for a reasonable price. Great atmosphere, vibrant music and artwork. Friendly service. I particularly enjoy the peri-peri chips and the Supremo burger. The seasoning of the sauces and the chicken here is fantastic.

As an architect I always live the interior design of nandos. However, the nandos history was missing in this one , though lisboa cockerel was up. None the less, wonderful interior. The Nando's Extra Hot Half Chicken is a mouthwatering delight for spice lovers. It starts with a succulent, tender half chicken, marinated in a fiery blend of Peri-Peri spices that pack a punch. The chicken is grilled to perfection, creating a delicious charred exterior that locks in the juicy flavors. With each bite, you'll experience an explosion of heat and tangy goodness, complemented by the smoky undertones from the grill. The Extra Hot Half Chicken is a bold and unforgettable culinary adventure that will leave you craving for more of its tantalizing heat.

Spot on hot chicken with peri peri chips. Great service and inviting ambience. Not sure why bacon is in the menu as many Muslims don't eat at places that might claim halal food but has pork products at premises. Bad decision team Visited for a late lunch on Saturday. Store very dirty, tables with plates and stuff left by previous diners. Toilets diabolical. Food overcooked, chicken very stringy clearly showing it was left on grill for too long. Large chips served in a small bowl. Garlic bread was good. Complained to the manager and he was not interested. This place is going down big time.

I love Nando's Peri Peri grilled chicken as a flavourful and spicy food. However, this particular Nando's as an outlet (only branch in Dunedin) is quite average, compared to many other Nando's I have tried, especially in Australia they seem to have much higher standards, by comparison. Usually, this brand of restaurants are privately owned franchise stores, but this one is actually a company owned store. Which makes it even more unbelievable, to consistently have an average experience every time I have dined here. At the self service kiosk, either plates or water glasses or cutlery or Peri Peri sauce bottles or paper towls, one or the other are always missing. They're never full / properly replenished. Nothing to take away from staff though, they usually seem welcoming and sincere enough and they seem to try their best, but the fact that every time I go there, there are new staff, trying to do things the Nando's way. Also, they're always advertising for staff. I can't understand, why do they have such high turnover of staff? That too, for a restaurant in a prime location like this particular one? Perhaps, they need to lease this store to a franchisee, who can give it the personal commitment it needs, to lift it from the current mediocrity to a future excellence.

Love the chicken, the spices get in to the bone. Yellow rice is ok, peri peri chips is nice, cooked well. The garden salad is below the standard, the lettuce wasn't fresh, they should check it first before serving to customers. You can have a lot of sauce to choose as an addition. Anyway the place is quite clean and cozy. I'll back next time.

Came here for lunch and got 1/4 chicken (mild) and peri peri chips. Very tasty and cooked perfectly. The staff were very friendly and it was a nice setting. The only reason for 4/5 is that there was a lot of dust and some rubbish under the bar leaner along the front of the restaurant which could be seen from our table. I highly recommend coming here.
