My wife and I stayed here on our way south through the north island, and this was easily the best of the six places we've stayed so far. Kylie has thought of every detail and is an outstanding host. The space was beautifully appointed and immaculately clean. I only wish we had been able to stay for more nights!
What a wonderful stay! The place is amazing, surrounded by nature and farm animals. What makes the stay perfect is the attention received from Kylie. She makes it a memorable stay, starting from the sign at the parking, all the snacks and organic breakfast to the attention to the details such as the weather forecast. Best place to stay if your trip in New Zealand includes a visit to Hobbiton. Thank you!!
Best place to stay while visiting Hobbiton! My family and I had a great stay this past week. Beautiful and tranquil location. The beds were very comfortable. The food left was excellent. Most of it is home made. We stayed one night…wished it could have been more.
Our stay at Matamata Country B&B was pure luxury ! The room is beautifully decorated with many interesting and practical features, and thoughtful attention to detail. Kylie was so welcoming, helpful and generous. We felt very spoiled with all the delicious food, ample breakfast supplies, hot, home-baked bread and cake. The location was pretty, peaceful and well positioned in relation to the town and Hobbiton. Highly recommend a stay.

Loved my stay at Matamata Country BB. Outstanding hosts. Room was immaculate, furnishings super comfortable, amazing shower, and so appreciated the goodies left out for my breakfast. The accommodation was so close to town yet had such a rural feel. I will definitely be back next time I'm in the area.
Had a fantastic stay. The location was perfect for us and we had the best sleep. Owners were very welcoming and incredibly hospitable. Went over and above to ensure we enjoyed our stay.
