Lovely place, tidy, friendly owners. Location is good or bad, depending on how you see it. Good by the fact that it's out in nature away from towns noise. Or bad by the fact that it's not in town. Still would recommend.
We had an amazing 2 night stay at this beautiful farm. Perfectly located in Matamata, less than a 20 minute drive from Hobbiton. It can easily accommodate 6 people so you can imagine it was more than comfy for our family of 4. There is no wifi and the cell network is weak so forget about internet (this is clearly advertised so we were perfectly aware of it). However, there's plenty of dvds, board and card games as well as toys for the little ones to keep you entertained. It is truly a trip back to the 90s. Breakfast is provided and definitely a plus. Highly recommended

Perfect accommodation for families....really spacious living space, great outdoor spaces and the goats were so fun. Great hosts supplied heaps of extras. Lovely fresh interior and really clean, warm self contained with room to move!
Lots of space. 5 single beds, a large lounge, as well as a large private bedroom with a queen bed. Lots of extras like movies, biscuits and ample coffee, tea and chocolate drink supplies. The washing machine was a bonus, as were the pet goats on the other side of the property. We didn't meet our hostess, but her husband was was friendly and accommodating.
