   I came here all the way from rolleston with my mother and nana for a new years catch up and honestly was so disappointed. My nana ordered the fish and chips which came out cold after 40 minutes, we then sat there for another 10 minutes waiting for our pizzas to come out… 50 minute total wait time. I ordered the gluten free lamb pizza, you could barely taste any of the meat and the cheese they used was Parmesan and there was way too much, it was to the point me and my mother could only eat half it pizza each, genuinely the worst pizza I have ever had, think of eating rotten eggs. We were really excited to eat here but really such a disappointment again, I think we spent near $100 on everything. 10/10 don’t recommend

   Service and portion sizes were both good. Food was terrible - under-seasoned and tasteless. We ordered three seperate meals off the menu and found them all lacking in flavour and taste. Expensive for what you got, but we excused that as you’d expect that from a place out of town. Won’t be eating here again

   Cute little place but definitely understaffed, the tables weren’t maintained very well. Crumbs, empty cups & dirty cutlery. Not surprising on a busy day but I find it unacceptable they were still sitting there when we left, after spending a solid hour inside. After settling on a half decent table, we sat waiting 20 minutes for a slice out of the cabinet. Also paid a whopping $15 (with a 15% public holiday surcharge) for two iced chocolates that were in kid sized glasses, not even half a hands worth. The pepperoni pizza was good but sadly didn’t make up for the lack of cleanliness & service.

   We had some bottled juice drinks, coffee and chips. I cannot tell much about food since we did not order any. However, the fries we ordered was generous and freshly fried. The location is near the Diamond Harbour wharf and the patio area has a nice view of a big soccer/green field. It was quiet on a Monday afternoon so the eatery had plenty of seats.

   Second time visiting this place and am glad the first time wasn't a fluke. Service was great, food was amazing and the indoor outdoor flow was great. We had 4 dishes - Crumbed Beef Schnitzel, lamb shank, fish and chips and the vegetarian dumplings. Generous portions for all dishes. Standouts in each meal served. From the light crispy batter on the melt in your mouth fish and chips, to the beautifully slow cooked lamb shank, to the mushroom sauce on the nicely cooked Schnitzel. The sauce for the dumplings was a lovely sesame that really complimented them. The chips served with the fish and Schnitzel were top notch as well. You could tell the oil they were fried in was fresh. Can't wait to take another venture to the Diamond Harbour Eatery and Bar.

   I had the big breakfast - ok but not great. One piece of bacon (non-smiley face) and the potato hash looked great but it was a bit oily. Not busy on a Saturday morning which was nice. And service was quite quick.

   It’s my first coming at Diamond Harbour, I got some good food and cozy atmosphere, good quality and friendly service as well, a good place to settle down your mood after reading the lives of the people who rest at the memorial cemetery forever.

   Probably one of the few restaurants around. Had the fish and chips and it's honestly not too bad. Good to get a seat either in front of the cafe or behind where it's facing the rugby field.
