   Been in a few times. First time looking for a turntable. Guess the person was new, unfamiliar with differences between turntables which is ok. However, instead of trying to get someone who could assist us with specifics, he spent the next 20 minutes showing us around the shop pointing out the most expensive component's and telling us how much they were, as if we were going to be impressed? This was after saying were were new to the market ( for my son) and had a budget of about $800. Didn't discus the specifis, ( why they were good) just pointed to items and said their price eg this set is $25,000. Aftef 20 minutes it was really awkward and we left - none the wiser. Went back a second and third time with ordinary service. Perhaps unless your're in the market for a high end product their interest isnt really there. Shame, as my son and I were excited and passionate about learning the basics, and was hoping for specialised knowledge who could help spark that. He said he got better service for jb hi fi . Maybe just off days, short staffed etc but as it is a specialised shop was hoping for that to be shown in the service , not just showing how exclusive you can be. Addit : Did end up buying a good amp and turntable from them. Ok to purchase from , just missing that fundamental specialist service. The following relates to the owners response to the above review. He has since removed these comments. Addit: What is more concerning than the above is possibly the owners reply. There are no dates or specifics mentioned ( the first interaction was a few months ago) yet the owner recalls the incident? A none remarkable interaction which he specifically recalls? Wow. Thats more impressive than your expensive componentry.

   Great customer service. I purchased the wrong replacement stylus from them (my own stupid fault for not listening to them properly) returned them the next day and they gladly swapped them for the correct ones, and also took the time to educate me on the differences of the stylus. Very knowledgeable people. Thanks again.

   Never having much of an ear for sound quality I was after cheap boom for a 5.1 solution. Peter pointed me towards the Paradigm solution. The Listening post allowed me to upgrade the rears for a second set of Floorstanders which was appreciated. After throwing around the speakers and randomly bashing buttons on my amp, I was simply amazed at how detailed the sound was. Now the room has gone from a simple explosion fest to hearing the sound of leaves rustle underfoot, or the detail in songs that I've never heard nor spent the time listening to before.... truly listening. Thanks, Listening Post, money well spent.

   Brought an old amplifier that has been in my family since purchased new in the 1970's into the Listening Post to see if they were able to get it up and running again. Absolutely thrilled that they managed to bring it back to life as it is genuinely my favourite possession. Also receieved some knowledgeable and helpful advice in regard to future upgrades.
