This has to be the definitive store for New Zealand gin. It's so great to see somewhere dedicated solely to gin, with the range and exceptional knowledge to help you find whatever you're looking for. Tastings are available at a reasonable price.
We visited Juniper Collective on Monday and have to praise the amazing service and thoughtful recommendations. We stumbled across the store while just browsing, but thanks to Elena’s great advice we left with two bottles. Both are fantastic, and we’re already planning to order more soon! A few days later we also placed an online order as a gift for a friend. I had requested no receipt, and they went the extra mile to beautifully gift wrap it without me asking — such a thoughtful touch. Highly recommend Juniper Collective for both their incredible products and outstanding customer care.
What a great little find in CHC. I was just browsing as I was passing by and wasn’t planning on buying anything but the young lady who was working there had such a positive and infectious attitude and obvious passion for the product- I ended up walking out with a couple of bottles of Pinot! It’s not very often you encounter such great customer service paired with excellent product knowledge. I will definitely be back- this is a must visit store!
A must-visit if you're into gin and whisky and find yourself in Christchurch. They have an excellent selection of New Zealand-made spirits, mostly ones you defenitely won't find in the average liquorstore. But the real highlight is the incredibly enthusiastic shopkeeper. She shared a lot of knowledge and insights about the gins and whiskies, even offered us a small tasting, and we left with some great bottles and a really good vibe. This is exactly how a shop should be!
7 of us did a private gin tasting and had a blast! Very knowledgeable about all of their products, delicious gins and food! Highly recommend :)

Event review: Last night I attended a gin tasting degustation event hosted by the team at the Christchurch Adventure Park with The Juniper Collective. The team did a wonderful job of showcasing Aotearoa gins & matching them with delicious small plates prepared by the Park chefs. The gins were well paired with various tonics & thoughtfully garnished to really bring out the flavours. The Juniper Collective are knowledgeable, engaging & I’ll definitely be seeking out more of these types of events. Thanks for a fab night!
Really fun. Generous tasting portions, and nice to have lots of different tonics and garnishes to experiment with. Good platters too. The shop is well presented with a great selection of gins. Fully recommend doing the tasting package.
