   We had an amazing time with the Hauraki Experience. Julie & John were friendly and excellent hosts. The accomodation is a beautiful old country style house with lots of art and interesting antiques to look at. It is surrounded by nice gardens, has a good outdoor dining area and a spa pool where you can soak after a day on the cycling or walking tracks. There is easy access to the main track right at the bottom of the garden. It is also a short 5 minute walk to a nearby swimming hole in the river. We had a large group with 4 couples and were comfortably accommodated. There are 2 large double rooms and 2 twin bed rooms. Last but not least Julie is a wonderful chef and the food presented to us was amazing - you would be hard pressed to find better food on a NZ bike trail.

   What an absolutely beautiful place. Julie and John are those rare wonderful hosts who go over and beyond to make their guests stay special and memorable. I loved their energy, enthusiasm and the zest with which they run this delightful place of theirs. This was indeed one of those trips which will be amongst my favourites for not only the biking trail we managed to complete but also our stay at this amazing place. The food was divine and something we looked forward to. Most importantly, Julie and John took our dietary requirements into consideration and treated us to some amazing gourmet food at the end of each day. This was followed by games, a soak in the spa and some banter to end the day with. Definitely a place worth staying and experiencing!! Thank you Julie and John for being such gracious hosts ❤️

   The most amazing luxury bed, breakfast, dinner, and biking experience! Thank you John and Julie for making our biking experience so special and unforgettable! We felt so much at home and enjoyed coming back to the most delicious gourmet meals each evening, despite our dietary restrictions and food intolerances. Very grateful, Julie! A beautiful home, presented tastefully with lovely outdoors to relax, play games, enjoy nature, and soak in the spa after a day of biking! Couldn't have asked for anything better! Thank you so much, John and Julie for your kind hospitality and warmth! You made our stay most memorable! Can't wait to visit again!

   We had a fantastic time staying at John and Julie’s house. They were welcoming and excellent hosts and cooked us amazing meals. We stayed three nights and cycled a couple of days. I was great to have the track on your door step. Lovely sculptures as well.

   The Hauraki Experience was the best. Accommodation spacious, immaculately clean, with delicious restaurant quality meals and set in a very peaceful location. The property is an adventure of its own with John's sculptures. Everything is easy as it is a package deal and all organised for you, from accommodation, food, bike hire to shuttles etc. John and Julie are the perfect hosts, so friendly and accommodating. They could not have done more for us. We highly recommend this experience.

   We had a wonderful time, John and Julie were exceptional hosts, welcoming, hospitable and fun. Nothing was to much trouble and after a hard bike ride it was delightful to jump into the spa, followed by a gourmet dinner cooked and prepared by Julie, always outstanding food. We enjoyed observing and getting to know more about both of their creative endeavours, - but only if we asked, they both have the ability to be there when needed and to vanish, to give privacy to your visit. We would recommend the Hauraki Experience to anyone with a love of bike riding, art and superb food.

   We had a great stay with John and Julie! The property is in an amazing location, and perfectly positioned to complete the Hauraki Rail Trail. The house is also wonderfully decorated. The food was amazing, and John and Julie were 10/10 hosts. I would highly recommend staying at the Hauraki Experience, and hope to come back again!

   We had an absolutely outstanding stay with John and Julie from the Hauraki Experience. They organised everything for our extended family bike ride seamlessly, divine food (including an impressive response to our various tricksy dietary needs) and were such warm and friendly hosts. The property is gorgeous, everything sparkling clean and an exquisite aesthetic. We'll definitely be back!
