   Not a 'bargain' shop - prices more expensive that supermarkets or indian/asian stores nearby. However, they have a range of imported foods and frozen goods.

   When they opened, I really hoped for something similar to Reduced to Clear and Why Knott (Auckland). Both companies sell products that are past the "best before" date or are "end of line" products, all for a pretty good price. Unfortunately Bargain Me is turning into a normal store, with a wider range of international products. You can find those products in other stores already though, leaving that big gap for an actual "clearance" store in Chch. The name just doesn't really work anymore in my opinion. It drifted further away from the premises the owner made when opened, as mentioned in some news articles around that time.

   Ravi is a genious, he sells chipá, yerba mate, chocolinas and alfajores havanna. Everything from Argentina! He was friendly and helpful :)

   Great place that welcomes all with a floorwalker's suspicion. Outside, the homeless shuffle to keep warm and blatantly hustle for change. Dodge the spit on the sidewalk as you stroll to buy the local fare, shark and chips.

   Great place! Bought 1 kg of peeled frozen garlic for $8.00! 4 kgs of Italian canned tomatoes for $6.00. The gentleman was so helpful that he bought another basket for us! Deals are barging, but not for everyone for sure! For us, it is so highly recommended!
