Nice rooms, good air con/heat pump, great breakfast. Lovely sitting and breakfast rooms - don’t miss the huge reproduction Victorian books with paintings and drawings of NZ in 1877. Very close to the Arts Centre, botanic gardens and museums.

What a lovely little hotel. Everything was splendid! Friendly and helpfull staff, delicious breakfast, very comfy rooms and just a short walk from center of city. We would love to stay here anytime we come back.

A Beautiful setting in the heart of Christchurch City Central. Central to everything! The rooms are a country style living, warm and restful, very clean and tidy. As I sat outside having my lunch and a cuppa tea I felt like I was in the country. The hospitality from the staff members were very warm and welcoming. Delicious homemade food also. Highly recommended.

We spent a lovely two nights here in October in the midst of high wind warnings and light rain. Maddy gave us a ton of good recommendations, which resulted in a great stay in Christchurch. The botanic garden is 2 blocks away and just gorgeous. We saw a play at Courtyard Theatre a few blocks away and had several delicious meals. The daily afternoon wine was a nice way to talk through plans with other travelers. And the breakfast was all fresh local products.

Big comfortable rooms. Beautiful building and friendly staff. Old world comfort in the middle of beautiful Christchurch. What more could you ask for!

Lovely historic boutique hotel, and the perfect location for exploring Christchurch - right near the botanics, Avon and art galleries. Included breakfast and happy hour wine, which was lovely, and staff were very attentive and friendly. This is an old home, so you can hear a bit more than you may in other spots, like footsteps/conversations above or in the room next door, but this is a small price to pay for the charm of a beautifully kept property. Only bonus would be a mini fridge in the room. Would love to come back to Orari!

Nice English Craftmen style home converted into a B&B. Great location in the arts district. Short walks to the Botanical Gardens, Avon River and many dining opportunities. Breakfast is served in a well appointed dining room. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Enjoyed our stay immensely and wish we had more time to explore Christchurch.

Beautiful place to stay! Rooms were gorgeous and extremely well kept. The dining and lounging area was homey, and staff even provided snacks and drinks throughout the day. I would highly recommend staying here when you’re in Christchurch.

A beautiful place to stay with a boarding house feel. Very helpful hostess with lots of local info. Be sure to try her home-made black garlic mustard!

A very down to earth staff and it feels like home immediately. Despite being in a heritage house the facilities are modern where it counts while still maintaining the charm. Unbeatable location within walking distance of the CBD and some of Christchurch’s main attractions. Great and convenient breakfast.
