Went into this garage for a wof and wof only was so shocked when I went to pick up my car to find they done a full 2 hour service (they charged $100 per hour and replaced things with no consultion) final bill was $631 they changed the oil which I had only recently done. was so shocked and disappointed do not go to this garage they do not listen and do things without your consent.
Very good service from here yesterday. Took our caravan in to have the brakes investigated as they were "grabbing". It was with them for around 6 hours or so and we were expecting a hefty bill so we're very surprised to hear that we were only charged for 1 hour's labour. The brakes are now perfect.
After ringing and discussing our car issues with Belfast auto the car was taken in and a few days later we were called and told that all our car needed was a scan and a re set and all would be well we were charged $166 for something that took 1 hour we picked up the car Friday morning within a few hours the car was displaying the exact same issues after being assured that our car would be fine. Rung up today to speak to the mechanic who was not interested in helping fix the car that he clearly didn’t fix and that they didn’t have any appointments for 2-3 weeks which is funny considering all the appointments the lady receptionist was reading out to me to book our warrant there were plenty within the coming week. We’ve been ripped off with no interest of a refund or further fixing our car. Would absolutely not recommend. Worst experience ever.

We were so lucky and happy that we found Belfast Automotive today. On the way to Picton my car started to make really loud noises and as a foreigner in this country I just looked at Google for a mechanic close to our location. From the first second I felt that we are in good hands. Everyone was super nice and professional. Mr Greenhill made sure that the car get fixed as soon as possible so that we can catch the ferry. Additionally he managed a low price for the Wheel Bearing! We would recommend this place to everyone who lives in Christchurch or to every traveler who drives by. Big thanks to the whole team! Forgot to make a booking to get my oil changed but the team at Belfast automotive squeezed me in and got my warrent at the same time. Very friendly and always helpful.
Amazing customer service, receptionist is lovely always gives my dogs treats. Great service and fair pricing. If you want old school customer service with a smile go to Belfast Automotive you won't regret it! Keep up the good work!
