Great local bar. We were made to feel welcome as visitors and we were not charged tourist tax for once. It's a shame it's closing on Easter Monday. It will be missed in this dead seaside town.
0/5 couldn’t get a drink because apparently I had had too many. In reality I was completely sober. I am having just a bit weird way of speaking as a tourist.
Great local pub feel. Not a family place, just a beer with mates type place. Locals were happy to chat. Staff were very friendly.
Bar man was supper nice. Good pub food.
Absolutely love this place. Beautiful location,great outdoor area. Can smoke and play pokies undercover. Super friendly staff and locals make this place the place to visit.

Really cool bar with a great atmosphere happy and friendly staff and locals right across the road from the beach great veiw of the surf plenty of things to do tastey food and drinks plus t.a.b two pokie rooms a big garden bar out the back a big pool table with small pockets and a pool competition Friday nights only 5$ entry starting at 9pm and a dj. Theres entertainment all though out the week juke box and MTV music all different types of sports on sky no paperview go the all blacks crusaders and the hurricanes plus karaoke and d.j.s on the weekends and if your lucky a boil up or bbq on sundays every couple of weeks come in buy a jug and have something to eat and free pool all day sunday fun day open at 8am usually closed about 1 am on the weekends one way doors on the weekend from 11pm to 12.30am so get in early and dance the night away good times at the wave bar see you there at the local new Brighton sports bar .
Had one too many whakamanas before entering but got a speights down me and managed to pull off an epic round of pool. Didn't pull one of New Brighton's finest women despite the great game of pool
