Front desk service was terrific. Welcoming, friendly and accommodating. Cabin was clean, modern, great ensuite and suited our needs, entirely. Beach view at one of the most beautiful beaches in New Zealand. You won't get a Auckland council holiday park, self contained cabin, on the beach for $100 or so for the night. Half price of hot pools also. Stayed for a night and would do again.

Great location but if you like sleep I would not pay the peak rate at almost 100 per night just to be kept up late at night, place FULL of prickles, no privacy, on display for everyone who walks the mount, fitness people yelling at 5am along with the nonstop bird/seagulls screeching from 4.30am onwards, don't leave any food or doors open as they come inside if unattended, it's infested with seagulls. Not as great as it cracks out to be, toilets on harbor side not cleaned properly even after brought to attention. Yelled at by manager when I potlitely asked to clean them for free.

Fantastic holiday park! Great location not only for access to the beach but also for the mountain walk. Staff were so helpful and really friendly. Toilets and kitchen were at a fantastic standard

This is an iconic camp ground in the heart of Mount Maunganui at the base of the actual mountain. Excellent facilities with immaculate toilets and showers. The grounds are well maintained and the camp guide gives all the necessary info. Fobs are used to gain entry to all facilities. Sites are level with adequate space for a vehicle to park as well. Walking distance to shops, and of course the iconic trails around the Mountain itβs self. The only criticism would be oven in the kitchen by caravan sites near Pilot Bay is not very efficient. Probably does need a replacement. Highly recommend this camp.

Fantastic location right on the beach. Friendly staff who remembered my booking. Stunning views and if you book early you have a choice of the best spots. Good facilities. Clean and tidy. Good security. Walking distance to a range of shops. Ideal base for the walk up the mountain sunset on one side and sunrise on the other.

Amazing location, close to the sea, Mount & wonderful Salt Water Hot Pools. Kitchen and bathrooms clean Vintage caravans need some maintenance, love and tidying up (there was an orange substance on the ceiling). Double mattress in caravan was far too short for an average sized adult. Kitchen and Shower-blocks absolutely freezing, no heating at all in wintry conditions. No clothes line option to naturally dry any clothes or towels except outside in the pouring rain - (Not everyone would like to use a dryer due to environmental reasons and not suitable for togs) Internet has to be paid for but does not meet any working standards for modern websites - it is far too slow. Small adjustments could make a real difference overall. Customer service was friendly though.

Awesome location, however not enough time or money spent in keeping customers happy. Caravans very run down and basic, and also I noticed ants crawling around on the kitchen benchtops. They are also absolutely FREEZING inside so keep that in mind. On Day 1 of my stay one of the lightbulbs blew out so I had to go to the office twice to ask them to replace it (after offering to do it myself). The guy finally came to replace it after rudely knocking on the door even when he saw I was on a phone call. Upon checking out, I was not asked for ANY feedback or comments hoping that I had a nice time. I would use them again only as a last resort.

This is the best park in New Zealand. Well the best of all the parks we have stayed at in 7 weeks of touring. Amazing location, thermal pool on site and 2 beaches. Close to great pubs and restaurants. Competitively priced and very helpful staff. Love it!

I tried to ring them but no one answers the phone, Even if i left a message, I never got a call back. So we booked online a family cabin which would have been great until they parked a tent in front and we lost all our beach views. The access roads are so tight it's almost impossible to get around. Location location location is the best thing going for it... everything else is average.
