Tried this place after family told me about it. Great beef and pork roasts, pork rolls . Staff are super friendly and food has been awesome the three times I've been, brother has been coming here for years , reckons it's the ducks nuts! Give it a whirl you'll love it

Appears new owners, my chips burnt old oil used, chicken dry it had the neck in it. No flavour and no longer moist. If your the new owner you need to sort this out was a great place for chicken and chips.0
So disappointed. I ordered a roast beef meal. The meat was rubbery, roast veges were oily and under cooked. Pumpkin and peas under cooked. Gravy was thin and tasteless. Service was polite,professional and fast. Very clean and tidy. I used to drive across town because this was best roast meal in town 5/5. I would recommend to everyone. Standards have dropped and I won't be going back any time soon.
My Family Order was : =punnet raw fish (lots of cucumbers &fish is raw cooked not my preference but if you know ,ya know also it’s a creamy consistency thick too yum) =Steak &Cheese pie (gravy’s was on the very light side ) =Potato Top pie (gravy’s was on the very light side ) The =Bacon & egg pie =Box of fries =Beef Rolls (Meat ) optional-gravy
Have been coming here for 5 + years . Previous owner took so much pride In his business, since new ownership only thing that has stayed semi constant is staff . New management are very dissapointing. If I order a large beef roast, I do not want my large meal filled up with 4 potatoes , 2xkumara , 2xpumpkin, even when requested no pumpkin. Second order was a pork sandwich with kumara fries. Ended up getting kumara put in my bloody pork sandwich. Owner confirmed yes he does kumara fries on phone order. Had to return to restaurant get order rectified . Still expected me to pay. Highly advise trying elsewhere . Will post some links to some better roast kitchens .... very unimpressed. Have boycotted this business , please check your phone order before leaving order and check order before you leave. #NotKapai #Willnotbeback
Used to love this place, but since changing ownership this place has gone down hill. Got my usual, pork roast meal, The pork was like it was off a bacon hock, and they forgot pumpkin, peas tasted strange.
Not at all recommended...food is gd but they have no idea what the heck is going on... running around like headless chicken...I paid for a large beef roast meal and look at it from what angle it's a large meal (after making a complete wrong order first)....if you are looking for a dinner after a long day at work, go somewhere else. Totally hopeless.
The most Devine meat fell off the bone melt in your mouth just like your mother or Nana's Sunday roast.Roast Dinners Chicken,Pork,lamb oh + pumpkin,kumara,peas,roast potatoes.Gravy+mint sauce.Salt n Pepper...hmmm yummmm.Meat rolls too.Raw Fish.
Fish portions for the price was way too small.. scales in it as well. Lack of communication..language barrier & understanding..Poor service As a past regular I know how hygienic & clean it was. No not very good at all...
