   So I was in Christchurch earlier this year with my old man, Ended up in this building with all these amazing food businesses, but been a vegetarian my options were limited, But I’m so glad I made my way to get a burger from Black Burger, it’s been one of best burgers I had in very long time !! Their prices are very good as well.. I really hope they open a store in Wellington, the staff were super friendly as well !!!

   3 days after appeasing my White Lady urges for the first time in 8 months. As we arrive in Christchurch my workmate says. Hey there's a burger joint that closes in 25 minutes that's got good reviews, so off we stride in the wind to CHC foodies market. A smart small menu with the modern classics, bacon burger, cheese burger, chilli cheese and a dodger burger all made with wagyu except an option for your iron deficient mate, made of black beans and mushrooms. Nice thin perfectly cooked patti, divine semi caramelised onions, quality buns, flavoursome cheese. Kumara fries and Local spud fries ( chips ) with a selection of sauces If anyone can make better burgers they must have worked here and stolen Ben's recipe. Tip of the cap to Black Burger

   I am not sure where to begin. The Wagyu beef pattie had no flavour, all you could taste was the bitterness from the burnt patty edges which dominated. Also grizzly bits in the patty. The bun tasted stale. An exceptionally greasy burger. Considering the hype I expected more. The fries were good, just overloaded with their salty seasoning, possibly some of that seasoning need to be used on the patty. Left feeling short changed and wandering if the previous reviews were sober ones. The staff working this evening did not look happy to be flipping burgers and you could taste it.

   Little bit greasy and overpriced ($18), but I guess it was due to the wagyu meat used for the patty. Fries were great and had really good texture though! Unfortunately needed to pay extra for sauce... Service was relatively quick because there was no queue at the time.

   Had a Big BBQ & Vege Burger, both as combos. The Vege Burger was very highly rated by she that ate it. The Big BBQ burger was equally as big. We got slightly less fries than we should, so when the next batch was cooked got an extra helping. Great service, great food.
