We have been to Nut Point Centre more than 20 times over many years. John is an exceptional host, always extremely welcoming and provides a wide selection for supper. A great and intimate venue for a range of concerts.
Beautiful venue, charming atmosphere and high class live music!!! We spent the most incredible evening listening to Marlene play the flute accompanied by two very talented pianists!!
A amazing location .. lots of galleries to visit We came for a solo art exhibition for Artist Kim Melhopt.
What John has created at the Nut Point is very special! I love the intimate feel of this venue, listening to great music and looking out the windows at the lovely trees and the sky. Its easy to see the passion John has shown to creating this special place. It also really worth exploring the developing native plants that have been planted across the 10 acres.
Having just become aware of this page , this gives me the chance to show my and my husband's gratitude for so many years of wonderful visits. The Nutpoint Centre is one of the nicest places to perform in, it has the peace and quiet of the country but yet, is close to the city. The grounds are beautiful, and will be come more so, as the native forest area , planted over years, will get more mature. The performing venue has the feel of a houseconcert venue, but has much more space than just a room in a house. It is full of interesting sculptures,( outside as well) a lot made by the owner himself, that gives it a very special sort of attractiveness. There is so much to look at and it is well worthwhile spending time looking at all the exhibits. Some unusual and interesting birds have made their home there, and one may occasionally also compete with a musical rooster....lol. Everything one receives here, is presented with such good care and charm.
Such a delightful place. The owner is a delightful man who takes great care and effort over maintaining a warm, creative, and artistic atmosphere. The gardens are stunning even in the winter. A fabulous gem hidden in Canterbury. Well worth several visits.
