The best removal company i came across. I used so many removal company for last 5 years but Truckabout were amazing. They never made me fault that they were hire to do the job. Ronald and his team were fantastic! He brought along two guys, and together they worked quickly and efficiently while still handling everything with great care. Really disappointed. We booked for midday and the drivers turned up over 2hrs early and then were unhappy we weren't completely ready. They got lost for an hour despite being given clear instructions and after I double checked they knew where they were going (1km in a straight line down the road). A lot of things were damaged or broken - they broke my table, my kayak erg, and a set of new drawers. The movers were rough. They also put mattresses down in the mud when they were resting despite my offer to take an end. Walls in both the old and new house were dinged. They tracked mud onto the carpet at the new house. Afterwards I then asked them not to come inside with their boots on. I was originally charged for 3 hrs. The actual moving took 1hr 30mins. I emailed to discuss the discrepancy with the time and provide feedback on the issues above. I was told the movers "never took a step into [my] new home. About the table, this was requested by yourself to take it apart before moving." I watched the mover tramp mud through and provided photos of his footprints. I also explained very clearly to the movers that the table did not come apart. I was given a reduced invoice of the minimum payment however this does not come close to covering the damages, time wasted and cleaning. I understand that accidents do happen and an occasional ding in the wall or accidental drop or breakage can be part of moving. My issue was the movers did not seem to be trying to take care of my furniture to begin with.
These guys have a good google rating for a reason, so I'm just adding my 5 star review. Ronald was great to deal with: easy to get hold of at all times, professional and responsive. He turned up when he said he would and went out of his way to make my house move work smoothly for me. He's the first person I'd go to if I need help moving again in future. Thanks Ronald.

Job completed as required! We recommend! Moving team came on time as planned. Nice and brave people faced a very hot day for CHCH (+30°C) and their very experienced leader made it stress-free, finding solutions for every big piece that we had.
