The indian man staff, I shouldβve asked his name. he was really friendly to me. I checked in at night, and he welcomed me very warmly. His customer service was perfect. thanks to him, staying here was so happy. Room is super clean, and view is good. Even i can control temperature. Only down side is here is so good, so made me keep staying inside hotel. Even though im here for traveling and have to look around outside! Haha. Thank you all.

I booked a room with a window and it was described as "city view" room. However, the window didn't open, and the room was just meters from an office building, so I had to keep the curtains closed, which is the same as a room without a window. The room was extremely small. Opening a suitcase was only possible if it was placed on the bed. The sheets and towels were very clean. The shower was minimalist. The reception staff was adequate. The location excellent.

Great spot if youβre here for a conference where youβll be spending all day out. Itβs about 500m from the Te Pae conference center, right in the middle of the city. The rooms are small, but they are self contained with private bathrooms. The internal rooms with no windows are affordably priced and they are clean. The reception is available 24/7 so itβs great for any late check ins. I really canβt fault this accommodation.

(Edit) I'm reviewing again because I stayed here a second time in just 2 months. We had an issue with the blind in our room it wasn't staying shut quickly resolved by receptionist and moved and upgraded to a king room. ALL silver member by the way. We checked in late unfortunately no parking in multistory behind hotel we parked in street. Thank you so much for the welcome card, TV was on lights were on and air con set nice and comfortable like I was coming home! If you're just looking for a hotel to get some rest after a day out exploring Christchurch or after work, this place is great. It's well priced the bed is comfy enough for a few nights stay. It's not an ultra luxury hotel but just what we needed. It has a guest laundry $4 for wash $4 for drying. The rooms are a little small but we managed fine. The location is great. Parking is located in a separate multi story facility on Hereford Street. Nice bar in the lobby doing happy hour every night and the food menu looks alright. Great service too at reception.

the rooms are quite small, and the bathrooms are a bit funky? laundry self service is easy to use, and the location is a walkable distance to most destinations within the city.

Sharing my experience here to combat all of the negative reviews mentioning the size of the rooms: to be clear, they are very explicit about the size of the rooms when you book! Was the room small? Yes. I booked a small room knowingly and the website was very clear. The room was also comfortable, clean, quiet, and had everything I needed despite its compact size. If I was very tall or was traveling as a couple I'd go for a larger room but it was absolutely fine for one person. And personally, as a terrible sleeper, the lack of window keeping the room dark into the late morning was heavenly. The staff were all courteous and I was able to easily store my luggage for most of the day before my flight. I didn't try the food but several friends who asked where I was staying raved about the food. And you can't beat the location. Would happily stay again!

Firstly we arrived to very little parking, we notified the hotel of not needing our 2nd night within the 24 hour time frame but the guy behind the counter refused to issue a refund even though it was out of our control. The rooms were tiny with very little customer service behind the desk. The lady was lovely, the man on the other hand. I'd highly book somewhere else if you want a pleasant stay.

Stayed here for a week and booked at the lowest possible rate so was not expecting 5 star facilities. The hotel is well kept, clean and organized. When I booked in reception reminded me that I wouldn't have housekeeping as I booked a cheaper rate which was fine by me. However, when I returned to my room one afternoon I found that housekeeping had been in my room and cleaned. Which is nice, but I would have appreciated for this to then be communicated. The room is really very small and I had many of my personal belongings all over the place and I would have wanted to leave my room tidier for room cleaning to make their lives easier, but also to be more presentable. It felt like I was caught off guard. I was working quite late in the evenings and when I got to the hotel a mere 5 minutes before the kitchen closed, they didn't even offer me any of the "midnight menu" and showed me away and taking a room service order literally seconds after I turned around to walk away. So maybe not the best place for dinner. But the location is ideal and there are lots of other places nearby. Overall a nice stay.

Location for the hotel is great, just slightly off the main but everything is within walking distance. Rooms are nicely designed. Staff at reception are professional but thought will be nicer if they are a little more warm. As we had a good amount of warm hospitality in our 3 weeks in NZ. The staff here did their job good and well but just thought smiles and warmth will be a great addition.
