Hidden gem. Incredible views and friendly staff. Free cold continental breakfast, with a good restaurant on first floor. Keep in mind it is shared bathrooms in an older building, but it is an affordable stay.
We stayed at ate here. The location is amazing. The rooms fine. The food is expensive for what it is a very average. When we came back the following weekend, the barman (whom we learned after is the owner) said I remember you when you were here last time you did not pay for your beer. My husband calmly looked in his wallet, found and took out a receipt, showing cash payment for the one beer he had after we had checked out. The owner did not say sorry and just arrogantly scowled. We found this really, offensive, unacceptable behaviour and would NEVER visit again.
What an awesome lunch we had today. Didn't book just turned up 4 of us. Choice baked chicken salad. Mushroom sausage ploughmans platter and pizza. All beautifully presented lovely flavour and very good value . Service unfussy but pleasant great experience thank you
We had a fantastic night away. Great to see so many locals having a fun time with a Barbie and Ken themed night. The bar was busy but all the staff made us feel welcome and was very friendly and fast service. We ended the night playing pool with a few of the welcoming locals. The accommodation upstairs is basic but lovely, warm and clean. With it only 30min from town this is the perfect get away. We will be back and will encourage friends as well.
A lovely find whilst out on our days drive. Staff were super friendly and efficient. Cozy indoor seating near a roaring fire but we chose the autumn sunshine and were not disappointed. The calamari was the best my husband has had in years. The polenta chips were well cooked and ideally presented but the accompanying aioli lacked taste. Made up for taste with the Irish Cider. Wonderful lunch, hope to visit again.
