Cheap hotel with a great location next to Hagley park. Easy check in and out with a friendly staff. Bathroom looked recently renovated. Bed was comfy and clean. Near to nice restaurants (recommend Thai orchid) and a 24 hour convenience store.
Love to share this.... Our shopping was all taken from the car which was parked in there car park... The motel owners didn't really seem to care
Overall cleanliness poor. Maintenance had not been carried out - no towel rail, light bulbs out, no toilet roll holder, stains on duvet, shower leaked and no compendium.
Do not recommend it. Uncomfortable beds, a very small room but set up two beds in, and on the bed sheet there were some hairs of previous guest left there, we can guess that the motel doesn't change bed sheets for different guests... ‐-----------‐------ My feedback to the manager/owner's response: If you're the owner or manager, you need to face the issues told by the guests and improve your services to let your guests satisfied, otherwise you may lose guests. I can see you're like sophistry when a guest told you that they're not satisfied with your services, that's why I saw many bad feedback here from the guests. No doubt I was a guest stayed there but it's booked by one person of our family. Why did I give you feedback if I wasn't a guest?! Improve your services if you really care about guest reviews.
The worst bed in the world! We’ve been allocated into a room which doesn’t meet the photos of our booking and been charged extra $20 for having a pet, even though the website doesn’t say anything about it. Room is really badly cleaned and the shower is awful.
Beautiful place to stay. Definitely not the newest but very calm, spacious room and living. Very friendly and helpful staff!!
Very comfortable and tidy rooms. I got a specious 1 bedroom and my children love it. Especially Netflix and unlimited cartoons. We enjoyed it and recommend it.
Definitely not a room to meet motel standards and for the price charged it's overpriced To the owners and the cleaners * The shower door plastic trim at the bottom does come off so it can be cleaned just push it down! It's currently green and has been for sometime. *The couch in the room is riddled with heavy stains and no amount of upholstery cleaner will remove them purchase an new couch or couch cover at least. *The tap in the bathroom sink needs fixed its extremely loose and dangerous. *The carpet needs a clean and an attempt to remove the visible stains. *The windows have a small build up of mould and dirt likely from condensation ,hot water and disinfectant will clean it *The toilet window handle was completely broken with no option of closing it. *In general the whole complex needs some serious maintenance and a full deep clean in units. The three rooms we passed to get to our room were of the same standard, people we spoke with in the carpark who were also guests mentioned their room being of poor cleanliness too as well as parking being an issue the poles stop medium and large vehicles parking . Reception closed from around 4 30pm through til 730pm so we weren't able to pass on feedback and sadly there wouldn't have been any that could have been done for that evening . We will not stay again and advise everyone else reading this to look further down the road. Basic hygiene and cleanliness is not difficult especially when people are paying for a clean place to sleep. Step up guys given the covid world we are in it's terrible thankfully the service upon arrival was friendly .
Definitely won’t be in a hurry to book here ever again. I had booked for a large group, for an event we were flying down to Christchurch for, but had received a message from owners, that we had to cancel our booking due to the property undergoing renovations during our time of stay, which I understood. But at this time finding accommodation for a large group was difficult. But not long after, I had received word that friends of ours had booked for the same dates and never received any messages about the property undergoing renovations and they are still able to stay at the property. Was very disappointed in finding this out as it feels like we have been lied to and pushed out so that prices could have been raised, due to this specific event happened during our dates.
