Food and drinks order taken at the same time after an unreasonable wait despite us being one of three tables seated at first. Starters came out with the mains which the new waitress did apologize for. Cashew curry was white/grey and very bland. It tasted like cashew, water, chicken and not much else, no flavour whatsoever which is not what Asian fusion should be. The curry was tiny for $32 and came with a coleslaw kind of side salad? After complaining about the cashew curry I ordered the mango curry on the basis it had more flavour, it was the same exact curry with sweet mango added, not sure how the chef thought that that would hit the spot after the last disappointment. The beer on the menu was advertised as 640 ml but came out as 330ml bottle instead. The sticky date pudding was dry and had a very frugal amount of butterscotch sauce, more sauce would have lifted but not entirely saved it. The sticky date pudding was presented with one scoop of ice cream, three blobs of whipped cream with freeze dried raspberry scattered about, the raspberry made no sense as a pairing. There was also freeze dried raspberry with the brownie which was . . . good despite not being served with raspberry compote as advertised. Rich, fudgey, good taste and texture, the brownie and the waitress' polite demeanour is the only reason this is a two star review, not one. Only one photo taken as I just wasn't impressed.

This my first time come here.. I order Pork Belly, soft shell crab, pad Thai, Laksa.. All the food was delicious, fresh, and well-prepared.. Everything tasted really good..! The best thing when I need some hot sauce, they made some green chili sauce and the taste was very delicious.. We are very love it.. Recommended.

I'm typing this review in a state close to food coma. My friend and I tried the βLetβs Eatβ experience at Mekong Buffalo, and it was fantastic! You just let the chef choose for you (after checking for anything you donβt like), and the wonderful dishes just keep coming. The portions were generous, starting with a big platter of starters, and every course was packed with flavor. The service was excellent: attentive and friendly, but never too much. If youβre in Rotorua and enjoy Asian food, this is a must-try. Highly recommend!

Lovely setting and atmosphere, food was delicious but very little meat in the dishes for the price.

I really did enjoy the customer service and look of the restaurant, we had two of the smaller plates, duck and the soft shell crab and then two mains mussels and prawn salad and unfortunately the mussels were really overpriced about 7 mussels for $28 which is ridiculous pricing. I did enjoy it but would I come back probably not as there are more restaurants that give you more for your money and now days that counts for a lot

The civilised cousin of Saigon 60s nearby., this space has ambient music, lots of staff and is licensed in a well curated and decorated space. The menus - described as fusion - is a little bit of everything. Our table of 6 opted for a Duck Curry, Pork Belly, Bun Nem and some other specials. The food was good (although there were surprisingly few gluten free options for an Asian restaurant when discarding the salads on a cyclonic, stormy night), if not spectacular. Ice cream trio and creme brΓ»lΓ©e were judged to be good. Beer on tap and wine available by the glass. Very pleasant, and dry, surroundings on an otherwise unpleasant evening. Worth revisiting

I have to say that this was excellent food. As well as the really nice fresh flavours the atmosphere and decor are top notch also. Great for a group of friends or if you want to impress on a date. I had the soft shell crab and the prawn and green papaya salad. I would recommend.

Ambience and vibe was really good. Pricey as compared to their sister resto Saigon 60s.approx 20-30 nzd/food item. Better to share with family and friends. We loved the calamari and soft shell crabs. Pork belly was too flavorful for us that we needed plain rice with it. Same with the soy chicken wings, better with plain rice. Add avocado smoothie in your menu please! Salmon was perfectly cooked.
