Not happy and neither is the rose. Has never done very well more have others all purchased from South Pacific Roses. Bought replacements yesterday and found out why roses have such tiny flowers. The root systems were pathetic.
Sadly disappointed with our experience. We drove across town to get a special rose to celebrate the birth of our baby. I thought coming here there would be a large array to choose from and we would get help by a rose specialist who would give us some advice and guidance about what we could buy. We arrived to find maybe one third of the stock online photos suggested. (Granted maybe its the wrong time of year) The stock that was there felt forgotten, a lot had fallen over and felt a bit unloved. We hunted around for probably half an hour and at no point did anyone welcome or approach us to offer help. Eventually we found a rose we liked and took it to the counter. The lady who served us was nice enough but was keen to get back to her computer. Overall I was a bit gutted by the experience when trying to look for something special. We feel like this is a more of an online business.
Absolute gem on Shands road. So many lovely roses to choose from, great deals, and the lady who helped us was super friendly.
I ordered 3 climbing roses online. They arrived carefully packaged and in great condition. Instructions were enclosed, which were very helpful. Roses are thriving and flowering already.

I rang to make an enquiry about a rose I wished to purchase. Was told they they had it in stock. But to order it online. As they were busy. When i went to order I found it was out if stock. Rang again was told they sold out several weeks ago. Also another rose of theirs broke at the graft. Long explanation to cover their back. Having worked in nurseries for several years I believe the graft was weak.
Great selection of healthy roses. Very helpful and friendly staff. They know their roses and give good advise. prompt replies. Good prices, good quality plants. Best place for roses around Christchurch.
Fantastic roses and amazing service. Angela and Anna from Otaki really take the time to advise and assist you with your order. The extra tidbits on planting and care of your roses is also helpful. Now need a bigger garden!
