I've trekked in NZ and overseas, and this was one of the best. Friendly and knowledgeable host and guides, gorgeous scenery, a variety of terrains, and all riding experiences were well catered for. We saw turkeys, Canadian geese, an eastern rosella, rabbits, heard peacocks, and were joined by other horses and cows along the way! Thoroughly enjoyed the two hours. So well matched, I wanted to take my horse Onyx home. Thanks David and crew, for keeping things affordable and giving us a great time. From the other Smith :D

Absolutely beautiful spot nestled in the hills. Amazing trek, the old fella is right when he'll tell ya the one hour is a tease. Go for as long as ya can, definitely recommend Read other reviews and will say, for the negative ones about the people who run it. They ain't from no big city townie place. These guys run a resort for horses. And just because it ain't the racetrack doesn't mean these guys are unprofessional. Just old school, good guides

The best horse riding place I’ve ever been to. The horses were well kept, and the equipment well maintained. The track had some lovely scenery. The guides were very nice and answered every one of our questions. They even let us canter for a bit. That was the highlight of my time there.

If you have the idea that a horse ride is for you, it's hard to go past this place. Real down to earth kiwi farmers giving you a real farm and horse ride experience. Once on your horse, we rode up to a ridge where we had great views. It's fine for those that have ridden before and completely safe and easy for first timer's as well. Recommended

Had the best Horse trek today with my daughter . Mixed group, guided well . Felt so relaxed . Beautiful countryside and horses to suit your ability . Working farm, so no frills but that was exactly what I wanted and expected . Good value. Highly recommended, many thanks Iain

My sister told us about this AMAZING horse riding venue and so we decided to take our siblings Miss Four & Five out there. And I tell you, the kids and I had an absolute BLAST. As a novice around horses, I must admit I was nervous walking my nieces around the area (missed the wonderful trek) but surprisingly the horses were well behaved and followed. I 1000% RECOMMEND this activity!!!! Cheap, fun and a wonderful experience x

We had a great day. My partner is an absolute beginner and got a real nice horse on which he felt really confident. I ride horses all my life and got one of their best horses (thank you for that, I'm totally in love with her). The guides are kind, friendly and skilled. Gave me the best compliments in years 1. You're impressive with her and 2. I'll race ya Lost this time but next time we'll race, I'll win lol. So obviously I had the best track ever, thank you!!!

Absolutely loved the trail ride. We went on a 2-hour ride, the two older kids were initially a bit scared but quickly got over it. I am an experienced rider and I loved the level of education the horses have, they are responsive and quiet. The track is up and down hill, very interesting with stunning views. All in all it was awesome and so much fun. We will never forget this day. Thank you so much and I can only highly recommend it. The price is unbeatable.

Highly recommend, my daughters first time near and riding a horse, an experience she absolutely loved! , our guides Belinda, Wendy and Rebekah were amazing,! Matched our horses suited to each rider, knew all the horses personalities. Best guides to spend a 2hr trek with, they praised the horses throughout the trek, to add Supportive and really reassuring with all riders. The trek was up and down steep hills, breathtaking views. 1 or 2 hour treks your choice. Either trek is worth every minute!
