   Was traveling from Christchurch to Tekapo, but didn’t want to wait that long to eat. Found this place which was a 10 minute diversion off the highway, and SO happy we did. A little Hard to find off the road, but look for the café flag. You’ll drive down a private drive, but once you park and walk in, it’s like walking into a magical courtyard. The atmosphere is charming and lovely, so much greenery and flowers at the beginning of summer. And the food was exceptional! I’m not a huge vegetable eater, but the asparagus crêpes sounded so good, and it was! The savory croissant with ham and cheese was sooo light and fluffy, it’s baked to order and it was just amazing. Couldn’t have asked for better hosts. Definitely make it a must stop, go off the beaten path, so worth it.

   Lovely place for a surprise 70th gathering. Outside area was great, nice amount of shade and sun, toilets clean, food yummy and beautifully presented…. Everyone enjoyed it!! Will come back again!

   We just got back from dining at this place and it's really worth the detour! The grounds are really beautiful in Autumn, lots of leaves and the cafe has lots of really interesting details and great atmosphere. We got the baked brie and the Berliner custard doughnut, both were excellent; delicious and presented awesomely. The coffee was really outstanding, it's not espresso, and that is juuust fine. If you have a chat with the owner, she (might) tell you how she found it :-)

   Just WOW. The most amazing venue and some of the best presented food I have ever had. Please be aware that it is one bill per table (or even split), as we had to have one person in our group pay, and then sort ourselves out later. Superb spot and well worth a visit (less than 10 minutes from Rolleston).

   Definitely MUST GO!! My food was so stunningly delicious and an explosion of flavour. The bruschetta was the best I've ever had, accompanied by an amazing salad that could be a star dish by itself. And the croissant is so light and flaky. Definitely worth it! I'm already planning to go back again soon!
