   I loved the place. I stayed for 19 nights as I visited Lincoln on work purpose. The rooms were newly renovated. I like the rooms. The room service were excellent. The location is quite convenient as there are a lot of restaurants and takeout places around and obviously there’s a great bar and restaurant downstairs too!

   Went for dinner. Had the ribs. I can eat, but there was too much food even for me. Ribs melted off the bone. Nice BBQ flavour/basting. More chips than I knew what to do with. Coleslaw was, you know, coleslaw. Decent price. Staff were friendly, food came quick. Beer was cold. Happy days, would go again.

   Popped in for Sunday lunch for the end of my birthday weekend. Didn't think we could go wrong with fish and chips. Wrong! Tiny piece of fish was old and inedible. Salad was oil drenched and old. Only thing on the plates that was fresh was the wedge of lemon.

   Go here very regularly. Incredible local pub restaurant, with rooms upstairs for staying also. The staff are the best anywhere. Really friendly. Great beer garden, which is good in winter as well as summer because of the outdoor heaters and is also very dog friendly. Very good food! Highly recommend the mixed meat platter, for two or three people it’s an incredible feed. All the steak meals are excellent. The lamb shank, the burgers, the nachos, basically all the meals are really good. The desserts are also very good and very large portions. I believe the prices are fair too, given both the quality and portion sizes. Big thumbs up recommendation for here

   Went to this place for a dance to my favorite band, along with some friends who were responsible adults except for one person. The female bouncer criticised my partner's dancing which was totally unprofessional. I was not impressed with the way uni students were allowed to dance while drinking and they were obviously very drunk and she didn't act on their bad behavior. There was a real danger with one guy who was spilling his drink everywhere on the dance floor without giving any consideration given to the band members who could have had their expensive equipment damaged. In short, this staff member needs to learn about customer service and this place needs to welcome people from Christchurch and other places. I will not be going back here again.

   Very tasty food but I had the chicken and mushroom pasta I had for a main seemed quite small. I was still hungry afterwards. My partner had the burger and chips and it was good. Good atmosphere, good service.

   Twenty five of us went for lunch. Excellent service from the moment we arrived. Most of our group enjoyed their lunch. Their were very positive comments about the lamb. The only disappointment was the Hot Pot Pie; I'm told the beef was quite tough. Overall a nice place to visit, and would return. Thank you :-)
