The food was lovely. Each dish had lots of effort and delicious effects. I recommend this restaurant to everyone as the staff are very friendly and welcoming, overall the service was amazing. I would recommend the chicken and lamb biriyani as well as the beef khorma, the naan is also well made. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

We had to wait quite a while for the food at Star, but it was absolutely worth it. The flavours were incredible and everything tasted freshly made. The staff were really friendly, and Heema was especially attentive. Definitely recommend!

Good food. Quick service. The naans are slightly different than what you typically get in India or in the US. But food was good. Rightly spices using spices and not red heat like what they end up doing in the US. Friendly staff, lot of patio and indoor seating, nice clean place. Being indian restaurant, tons of veggie options. Portions are right size. If you order rice, that's a big portion. I was not expecting a good Indian place in Rotorua but they done a great job.

Everything was perfect for a quiet dining experience filled with good food, service and an atmosphere of low light, low level music that added something calming to the evening. My only point was the waiter was pacing back and forth, so immediately thought our table was going be asked something, only my personal experience as everyone is different. Loved it all!

Worst experience ever. Had to wait for over an hour for our starter. We ordered tandoori soya chaap and It was not fully cooked. Really bad. We patiently enough waited for our dinner and it was same- not fully cooked. I attached the photos of the naan and itβs not cooked properly and the food was not even fresh.

Every time I come to Rotorua for a getaway, I proactively add this place as a go-to on my itinerary. The restaurant is great, the service is great, the food is great. Chicken Korma and Tikka Masala are great options here (get them medium spicy for that nice spicy kick!). If you have space in your belly, add in the vegetable samosas.

I came here with a friend, just for a quick lunch break. Iβve never been to an indian restaurant before, the lady serving us was okay. She didnβt really engage with us and didnβt ask how our meal was. I ordered a delicious vegetarian meal and lamb kababs, it was the most amazing taste I have ever tasted. Presentation was beautiful. Thank you Chefs, the nice lady at the checkout asked how our meals were, she was super nice and changed our perception of the place. Highly Recommended.
