   We had lunch at this restaurant and it was a fantastic experience! I ordered a steak and my boyfriend had lasagna, and honestly, both dishes were absolutely delicious. Our food took a little while to arrive because they wanted to cook the steak perfectly, but it wasn’t long at all—and to make up for the wait, they offered us a delightful dessert. On top of that, the service was better than ever; our waiter was the kindest person ever. Highly recommend this place for a great meal and amazing service!

   We ordered spaghetti and beef lasagna. It took 45 minutes to get our food which, I can only imagine is the time required to heat food to nearly the surface temperature of the star that sustains life on our planet. Both dishes are burned. The staff gave me a slight discount, no shade.

   What a fantastic dining experience! We were seated immediately, and the service was outstanding—warm, friendly, and super attentive! As a vegetarian, I was a bit disappointed with the limited veggie options on the menu, but the staff was amazing and customized my Pasta Tuscany with fresh veggies, which was absolutely delicious! My husband, a non-vegetarian, loved his hearty steak sandwich and couldn’t stop raving about it. The welcoming vibe made our meal so enjoyable, and we’re already excited to return!

   We visited Urban Gusto in Rotorua and overall had a very good experience. The food was decent, though unfortunately one of the salads had a small piece of plastic in it. The staff handled the situation really well. They were very friendly, apologetic and made up for it with two excellent desserts that we thoroughly enjoyed. Mistakes happen, but the service and hospitality stood out and turned the experience around. Definitely a restaurant worth visiting.

   Truly a remarkable experience has been had at this location. The divine beverages, “Bongos,” was only second to tasting ambrosia from the gods. The creator of said drink, dubbed “Sir Bongo,” gave us a gift that would have only be suitable for kings in the days of old. The differing ingredients offer each people individual experiences in which to share their time with the drink. The coconut was crazy. The orange was outrageous. The strawberry was sublime. The mango was magnificent. The rum was rambunctious. I could not recommend more to have one of these drinks, as ascension was achieved by all who tasted this gift. Thank you, Sir Bongo, you truly have blessed us

   Service was quick, our service guy was friendly. We ordered the antipasto, shared platter. We got artichoke hearts, beetroot, olives and some salami meat. The side dish was a honey mustard. Every bite tasted of mustard and vinegar. Not impressed. We also got a meat lovers pizza. Small bits of beef and salami, quite average. Nice environment, next to the fire.

   Modern, artsy and comfy decor. A Good value for money contemporary Italian restaurant. There was a little waiting time but acceptable for a wood-fired cuisine. Pizza was subtle and easy to savor. Anchovies as a pizza topping, was unique but did sit well with us. Wait staff were pleasant. Definitely recommend if you are in Rotorua and crave something no fancy Italian food.
