   Can not rate this place highly enough. As soon as you walk in the door you are met with warmth and kindness. My hairdresser was Zoe and they did such an amazing job, and was super helpful with advice around styling and hair maintenance. It is also super reasonably priced allowing me to stick to budget. And a bonus they’re all about sustainability in the salon, all the hair gets donated which is amazing. Anyways long post but really loved my experience at True Grit.

   I am travelling and was lucky enough to get a spot for a blow out with Naomi for my thick and curly hair. She was absolutely incredible with such an eye for detail. I left with a stunning blow out, my hair feeling like silk and am totally impressed. I get many blow outs and this is amongst the best - Naomi was so knowledgeable, kind and such an artist - highly recommend her for any of your hair needs!

   I’ve been a customer at True Grit for many years. The staff are always welcoming supportive and knowledgeable. Jacqui never sits back she is always updating your look and her cutting is superb. But when she’s away Jen steps up who is equally excellent. I’d recommend them to anyone looking for a great salon. .

   What a disappointment after booking online then being called up 2.5 hours before the appointment to be told that I have to have an hour consult as new client and the person they allocated me can't do a cut in less than an hour. They didn't bother to ask about my short hair or what I needed doing or even offer an alternative appointment, I have never needed an hour for a haircut before. Must say being new to Christchurch this is a real disappointment it shouldn't be this difficult. Very poor customer service and a loss to you of a new client ☹️☹️

   Libby was outstanding. I had grown my hair for 3+ yrs and she methodically styled it, never taking shortcuts, checking in with me all the while. So friendly and put me very much at ease. 10/10 service, and I LOVE my new do! Highly recommend.

   I hadn't had my hair cut at a hairdressers in 6 years, just trims at home, so was looking for a big change. Georgia washed my hair and was lovely. I had Sarah cut my hair (on her birthday no less) and I love it. She listened to everything I said and took it all into consideration. Sarah made me feel so comfortable and I really recommend True Grit and Sarah. I'm really happy with how it went and how they took my hair type into account as well as my inability to return soon.
