   I am petrified of the dentist. But this is the only practice I will go to. Dr Brady takes such good care of his patients and makes them feel as calm and safe as possible! Everyone here is super friendly and welcoming. I won’t go to any other practice again. Highly recommend!

   Edited review in response to Colombo Street Dental’s concerned email about my original wording**** I spent around nine months and roughly $3,000 receiving treatment from Sam Brady, and I do not recommend this dentist as I am extremely frustrated with the experience I had. Throughout my appointments, I often felt that Sam Brady spoke to me in a snappy and impatient way. This was my personal experience during multiple visits, and it made me uncomfortable as a patient. The main issue was the ongoing pain I had after root canal treatments. For more than six weeks, the pain never settled, and the only advice I was given when I went in for a review was to take more medication and come back in two weeks for a $450 deep clean and another review. I was told the pain was due to my “grumpy” gums, even though the only two teeth hurting were the exact teeth that had undergone root canals. Clinician notes attached. When I switched providers, my pain was finally addressed properly, the root canal was redone and I’m genuinely relieved I moved on before things got worse. This is my personal experience, and based on it, I cannot recommend Sam Brady. I wish I had looked into more reviews beforehand, because it would have saved me months of pain, stress, and unnecessary cost.

   From the moment I walked into Colombo St Dental I knew my life would be changed forever. Dr Sam Brady has returned my beautiful smile with the placement of crowns to restore damaged teeth using an on-site state-of-the-art milling machine that can create tooth crowns quick enough to have your new crowns ready and fitted in a day with colour match to the adjacent teeth perfectly. I will be forever grateful.

   As someone with chronic illness, finding Sam has been a blessing. Sam is the most empathetic, gentle and knowledgeable dentist I have ever met. He's not afraid of my rare medical conditions like many health providers. I've never felt gaslighted, invalidated, or embarrassed, which is a rarity. I highly recommend Sam and his team for everyone, but especially those who have health challenges. Thank you to the team at Colombo Street Dental for taking such good care of me over the years.

   I’ve been going to Sam for years and he’s by far the best dentist I’ve ever had. He’s gentle, explains everything clearly, and makes even the more stressful visits feel easy.    On Saturday 20th May at 10:30 am, I had an appointment to review my wisdom teeth. I was expecting to have great service and respectful communication between dentist and patient. However, Samuel Brady was very unprofessional as he didn't communicate to me directly, instead he decided to talk with my partner about my problem...I don't know why ? After he finished his explanation to my partner, he said he had done this because English is not my first language and he needed to make sure the procedure he was about to do was well understood. I have been living in New Zealand for 12 years, my IELTS (International English Language Testing System) score was 8.5, I run an Electrical business with kiwi employees for almost 10 years now, I have daily communication with English speaking people. I feel that Samuel Brady discriminated me due to my accent, and made several assumptions that were incorrect. Both assumptions and discriminations are unsafe actions in the health profession. Therefore, I will not recommend Samuel Brady to anyone.

   Fantastic service. Jillene (receptionist) was so friendly and helpful, getting me an appointment quickly and was lovely right through my experience. Dr Kerry Chen and her assistant were so lovely and caring. They put up with me being absolutely terrified (to the point of tears) and helped to support me through a difficult tooth extraction that involved Dr Sam having to come in and help. Thank you all!

   Today I came in with extream tooth ache. They fit me in straight away, informed me of costs and likely options to resolve it without putting me on the spot. I had Samual Brady working on my teeth and I have never ever had an extraction before and it was 100% painless. He was gentle, patient and very calm which made a really nice experience for the one in the chair. Concidering it was weekend work cost was very reasonable. Thank you for the great experience even though I lost a tooth. I will definitely be back.
