   Very accommodating staff, a safe area for younger kids, a convenient location and an affordable price. I would definitely use this accommodation again for future trips to Christchurch

   When checked in, the owner requested us to pay extra for the family room. But I've shown then we have booked and paid for 4 pax per family room, the lady kept saying no way I can get this price in Christchurch.... Again, that wasn't my fault, I have booked and paid via Agoda, however she insisted to collect extra payment from us. She said the amount I paid for enough for a twin bedroom only, if to stay 4 of us definitely need extra money!!!! Attitude was terrible, cleanliness was terrible.... HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED place to stay. Not honest motel yet made me felt like being threaten me when I arrived! Please avoid this motel BY ALL MEANS!

   Stayed here for one night while in Christchurch for business. A bit dated but clean, comfortable and with all basic needs. Kitchen well equipped for cooking, with utensils, plates, cups, cutlery. Bed was very comfy. Had a great sleep. The wall heater in the lounge was enough to keep the place warm. The owner was lovely and friendly. We paid a little extra for late check out which was great. Good convenient location. And quiet, which was good. Would stay again. Very good value for money.

   A lttle dated but clean. Separate lounge, kitchen, bedroom and bath. No milk for supplied tea, coffee and sugar. Kitchen well supplied for self cooking with stove, microwave and fridge. Only a small wall hung electric panel heater, inadequate to heat rooms in winter. Bathroom has fan heater on timer so switched itself off before exited shower. Shower not very forceful. Bed clean and comfortable with 2 switches for electric blankets, one did not work, the other warmed up a 500ml strip at the edge of the bed. All in all not bad for $104 sleeping 3 with self cooking facilities, just a bit dated.

   Avoid at all costs! Never stay here! Booked for 2 adults and 2 children, booked a room with 3 beds, a double and 2 singles. Before arrival I received a call from the owner asking to pay an extra $20 per bed per child. I said I'd sort it on arrival. The nice young man at reception saw my booking package and video called the owner (owner was exceptionally rude) who again refused to honor my booking. I requested a refund, she tried to refuse, so I called the third party booking agency Agoda. Agoda were brilliant and since I had screenshots of the original booking they refunded me straight away, excellent service. Back to belle bonne, all the photos on the website are out of date, the property looks nothing like that anymore. I never made it inside the room and will never go back. 1/10 (the single point was for the nice staff behind the counter caught in the middle of the owner and I). This is my first ever review, I'm only doing it to protect the next person from the worst experience I've ever had with short term accommodation I've ever had. Avoid avoid avoid!

   Very accommodating and helpful owner which we are very grateful. Place is old but tidy, got all the basics things you would need. Room service seems regularly. Place could upgrade with the bed, pillows and beddings as well as maybe a choice to be able to view some movies and not just freeview

   Having a early flight out the next morning, I decided to head up to Christchurch early and stay the night. I stopped in Fairlie and had a look at what was available. Not a lot. My usually places were booked out, and it dawned on me that it was a big weekend in Christchurch, with loads of big events around the city. I managed to find a room at Belle Bonne for $135 for a apartment. The motel was easy to find, and Elizabeth behind the desk was delightful. She showed me to my two bedroom apartment, and told me this was the last room she had! The apartment was pretty big and spacious, and while slightly dated, it wasn't really all that bad. Comfortable modern sofa, and nice thick curtains. Full kitchen, and pretty decent beds Only a few let downs for me: Heating was a issue. It was a freezing night, windy and wet night. There was a small wall heater, and then a little plug in electric one. It was not sufficient for apartment that size. Also the shower was housed in like a public toilet cubicle and it made it feel seriously dire. Apart from these two little issues though, it was a good stay, and you will catch me back again in the future. :)

   Would 100% recommend for a nice comfortable stay for two. Me and partner really enjoyed staying here the last few nights. At $89 per night for a room with a separate kitchen, bathroom, lounge area and bedroom we couldn’t complain. Our bed had an electric blanket too!!. We also really liked the little bed in the lounge, I presume this may be for a third person or if the two of us didn’t want to share the main bed but it was great for watching TV. Free wifi and parking was right next door to our room. Elizabeth was awesome to deal with also.
