as a local i have eaten a lot of there different dishes not once have i received bad customer service or bad food definitely recommend
I’m a loyal St. Pierre’s customer and usually love your sushi, but my experience at the Rolleston location while heading out of town on a weekend trip was honestly more than disappointing. My partner and I came in and ordered two trays of tuna sushi with double avocado on brown rice, plus I asked if fresh hot chicken could be made, as I’m currently pregnant and needed something freshly prepared. Unfortunately, none of the staff seemed to understand what we were asking for. After some confusion, they eventually said yes, and we paid $50. We sat down to wait, but it became clear that the staff were disorganised and unsure of what they were doing — running around like headless chickens. When the chicken finally came out, the staff member said, “it’s not hot, maybe lukewarm.” That completely defeated the purpose, and it looked no different than what was already sitting in the cabinet. My partner tried it and confirmed it wasn’t fresh, so I couldn’t eat it. We told them this, and they offered to put it back in the fryer to heat it up — which is not only unappetising, but completely inappropriate when serving someone pregnant. I then asked if they had freshly made katsu chicken instead, and was told yes. We double-checked that it would be hot and fresh. I paid an additional $10 for a very small tray of katsu chicken that ended up being fatty, not fresh, and nothing like what I’ve had at your other locations. When our sushi finally came, the avocado we paid extra for was completely brown — inedible. I’ve attached a photo to show just how bad it was. We couldn’t eat half of it. If I could give 0 stars for this visit, I would. The service was chaotic, the food was not fresh, and the overall experience left me incredibly disappointed — especially given how much we spent. I’ve never had such a poor experience at a St. Pierre’s store before, and I hope this is addressed to prevent other customers from going through the same.
Very dishonest business in Rolleston. I ordered Fancy Platter #1 for our family party and the fancy platter coats us $43.9. But at Perrier Rolleston they swap out 10 salmon nigiri sushi with tuna and lower price sushi without notified us. And disappointed our children. As we picked up our order at 6pm and they closed at 6pm. It seems no way for us to ask for returns or exchange something else. See the photos for what I supposed to order and finally what we got. Really dishonest business and don’t wanna return this St Perrier in Rolleston again. No reply from st Pierre’s scammer. Will reporgg to this to Commerce Commission.
Excellent hygiene standards, Staff are super friendly and have amazing manners. The food is top notch and the drinks range is choice as. Definitely recommend grabbing a melon soda with your feed
Food was great, but I was shocked to find out the fried chicken had gone up so much $14.40 for a pack.
Very good! Tasty sushi! Very friendly staff. Our dinner pretty much every week. It would be great if you guys start doing Bento similar to Hornby place. Cheers
Staff are friendly and helpful, particularly with custom orders. The service is always great. They are always welcoming and food is great.
Been to this store for a few times and I conclude that: 1. Their sushi quality is very inconsistent with other St Pierre’s stores. 2. Their sushi rice are dry and taste like cooked rice served in the restaurant. 3. Their Sushi aren’t wrapped properly, easily fell off (see picture). 4. There’s bone in the salmon sushi, that’s a no no. Hence the 1 star review
