    This Pioneer Pool has ongoing problems with heating of the Recreation and Spa pools resulting in freezing cold pools which no-one can go in This place is a joke and the staff don't give a damn.What a crappy cold swimming complex which always has issues

    Other patrons make the experience slightly unbearable as they are entitled and snobby in the carparks/changing rooms and general facility. Staff are attentive and friendly though. For this reason I need to be in the right mood to swim here so ignore the toxic environment. I prefer qe2 due to the relaxed community spirits of Brighton.

    I've been meaning to do this for a while. I came here with my mother, son and niece. The main pool area was chaotic, with balls flying left right and center. A life guard threw a ball with significant force and it hit me right in the face, knocking my glasses off into the pool, then due to the large amount of people and the waves, and the fact I couldn't see, it took some time to find them. If an apology was given, I wouldn't have minded so much, but the life guard saw what he did and didn't apologize. After that, my mother, niece and I were relaxing on the seat part in the wee circular pool and my mum and I were watching my son float off on a floating device, when a life guard began attacking my mum and I, claiming my niece was drowning when she was sitting right next to us. She was quite able to keep her head above water but she enjoys dunking her head under. She does the exact same thing in the same manner in the bath at home. My mum and I are aware that my niece has a habit of putting her head under the water in a chaotic manner and we have witnessed her doing this whenever she enters water, so we knew she was fine, but when I explained this to the life guard he did not believe me and was extremely rude. A woman who I presume was in charge took my details and promised a manager would call, however it's been well over a month, possibly even two months now and I haven't heard anything. Definitely won't be back. It was an absolute nightmare and absolutely ruined my day. I left feeling tearful.

    Good pool in the area. Pre schools can swim for free and caregiver should pay $3.50. Changing area is not very clean all the time. Water can be cold sometimes.

    Always fun for the kids. Great teach pool. Lap pool only 25m, but usually not too crowded. Not enough family change rooms at busy times though.
