Will never shop here again click and collect takes longer than two weeks. Was assured by staff of a certain date o wasn't able to collect till the week following. Be aware that click and collect isn't even at their store or warehouse it's through main freight. Staff shouldn't make promises they can't keep. Next time I'll shop locally

I recently purchased from target some furniture for my office. I picked them specifically because all items said were in stock and that the items read would ship the next day and take up to two weeks to arrive. I then immediately received a call saying items were unavailable so requested a refund of these items and the rest delivered. I received an email saying the refund was arranged delivery would be in two weeks and if I had any questions to let them know. It has now been two weeks and i thought it weird that i had not received any updates. I called and was advised they were waiting on confirmation from me. However the email never requested this. The only solution Target has was to wait another two weeks because effectively this had been put on hold. I have subsequently cancelled my order and will urgently try and find some other items as the situation is now urgent as the items were for an office space and without these I am unable to meet with clients. Severely disappointed with this company and their service

Upon delivery a rip was noticed on the couch. The store then lied and said it was being sold damaged as a floor model when this was never disclosed. At NO time was this mentioned. It was only said that it was a display model returned by a customer because they wanted a 3 seater instead of a 2 seater. I would have happily paid full price for an undamaged model. If it was said there was damage I would have gone and looked at it or asked about - no? How deceitful and disappointing. Good way to lose customers and ruin your reputation.

Awful customer service manager, very hostile and unprofessional. I purchased 3 dining chairs, all of them arrived damaged (2 that couldn't be assembled, the other with a mark). I contacted them about the issue and they were receptive and said they would send a replacement to my house which was due to arrive in 2 weeks. In the meantime I had disposed of the broken chairs as there was no conversation about me needing to return them. Fast forward to a week and I emailed them asking how far the replacements were and the replied saying mandarins would contact me to issue the "swap". This was the first I had heard of a swap, I had informed them that I no longer have the defective chairs as I was never told I needed to return them, I was just told I was getting 3 brand new ones sent to my house. The customer service representative failed to explicitly mention a very important step in the claims process and for that reason I now have no chairs, and they will not issue me a refund or send me a replacement because I no longer have the defective chairs and they apparently need them back in order to issue a replacement. If they had of told me this from the start I would've held on to them. The manager is rude, aggressive & keeps saying "but no one told you to dispose of them", and I argue that likewise, no one told me I needed to return them I was just told replacements would arrive at my house within 2 weeks. AWFUL customer service, AWFUL experience and just AWFUL human beings who can't honour the mistakes they've made and instead blame the customer.

While I absolutely love our new couch I would be very mindful when choosing your items and knowing what I know now I would be more inclined to purchase from the likes of Farmers as they have better customer service, I purchased a couch and wasn’t sure if I should get a chair or another couch, I went with one that they only had the floor model available getting a minimal $50 off something that many people have sat on, that’s fine. I had sold our couch and was waiting for our new one to arrive so the chair only sat in storage waiting for the couch to arrive, a week later I rang the store and had decided I thought the chair was going to be too small and could I pay the difference and order the couch, I was instantly told no which was disappointing as the term of purchasing floor stock has not been told to me. Two weeks after purchasing the couch the seams starting coming apart, that’s fine I contact them and they send a new one down. I get to the shop and after two previous calls they have sent the wrong one down. I was really understanding as I know mistakes happen (unlike target who don’t seem to understand a mistake when wanting to exchange) I finally get the correct cushion which has a good seam. I wrote to the contact centre and basically got told tough luck about the exchange and they patted themselves on the back for helping with the broken new couch and then ignored. So my rating while I love my new couch their customer service is questionable I know farmers would have been a lot more helpful! The silly part they would have got more money from me upgrading to a bigger couch. (Photo of the couch that I do love and the chair I wanted to exchange for another couch)

After phoning the Christchurch store and emailing the website and asking a simple question re the dimensions of a head board where this information wasn’t posted with the product on the website, nobody bothered to get back to me within three days! Today I phoned the Christchurch store and struck Andy who gave amazing service and was thorough and we had it sorted and purchased in half an hour! Just ask for Andy he offers amazing customer service.

We went to Target Moorhouse shop today evening to buy some furniture. The sales assistant served us was very helpful. His name was ANDY. He really knew what he was doing and was very efficient. He was really helpful to mix and match chairs with the pretty dining table we were after carrying all the chairs here and there.Had a pleasant experience in the shop today., we bought a lot of items today and hope to buy more furniture in the future. Thanks Andy, Target. Thilina and Madu

Positive: a lot of furniture displays and good showcase Negative: Staff were busy chatting and laughing with each other. We were in the store for quite a long time looking at the displays. No one was there to ask if we needed any help while we were trying to figure out what the prices are for items in the brochure. Figured that it is easier to look it up online than getting the staff to help. Ended up buying the item online.

I ordered the W150 dining table. Originally advised it would be arriving 23/01/2023. The day rolled on and I didn’t receive any communication. I contacted target only for them to advise it’s with the 3rd party moving company. I then contacted the 3rd party moving company who advised I shouldn’t have been told that and it will arrive Saturday. On Saturday we received the order however, the table legs were missing. An apology was made for this and they advised that the legs would be sent the following Monday urgently and should arrive in a couple days/I would be sent tracking information. I didn’t receive any further communication so I followed up again and was advised it was with the moving company. The moving company advised they had not heard from target. I then chased it up again and they were in warehouse still. Finally received the legs today and I can only attach two because two legs have the bolts missing. Customer service has been appalling, the only responses I have received regarding my complaints are that they are sorry and they will use the feedback to do better next time (this is coming from their customer feedback email). Doesn’t quite cut it.
