Only went in for some fish to make some sandwiches. They seemed a bit annoyed at my questions. Got 3 pieces of gurnard as that was the "fresh" fish they had on hand, batter was to thick and the fish was lost in the taste.

One of the best fish & chips in Ngaruawahia. Good staff, good parking, reasonably priced & generous portions . Would use this shop again!
The squid rings were good, but the fish is obviously not fresh. We asked for the fish to be grilled but they said they couldnt do that, even though they have the resources to do so... I used to work at a fish n chip shop and we always offered grilled fish. If they cant do it, this means the fish is precooked in batter and then frozen. It tasted very bad.
