   Had a weird experience during my last visit. 3pm on a Sunday. No staff behind the counter. Staff were sitting at a table chatting. I don't think they even noticed us at the counter. Waited 30 seconds, then headed to Coffee Culture, where we were served immediately.

   The Colombus team at Riccarton Mall are such a credit to the franchise. They are always friendly, attentive and genuinely engaging. We return each week because of this and secondly because the date & orange scones are the best we've ever had, and we've had a lot. Thank you

   Quality of Foods and Drinks are acceptable , Many foods and bakes available . Counter service is acceptable at non peak hours , large and sufficient car park , Very busy and crowdeded in this cafe shop and open up to 21:00pm (09:00pm) per week . Sufficient manpower around this shop but no body clean the table . I often visit this cafe shop .

   Ideal place to share our last hour of Quality Family Time,, before flying/driving out of Christchurch. Within easy reach of the airport, so we knew we would be on time for the flight. Belgian waffle and flat white were yum. Lovely, caring waitress and gracious new Manager.

   Fast service, but bad food, and an unsafe baby seat. 2 stars instead of 1, only because they did refund the order (albeit with a poor attitude). The cabinate food looked at least a day old; Avocados had gone brown, and sauces were drying up. So I ordered a menu item, the avocado and halloumi bruschetta + egg. A good thing was the fast service. Food arrived within 10 minutes. When food did arrive, the egg was cold and undercooked. (And im not talking about a runny yolk, which is fine, but the egg whites inside were still clear, which is not). The avocado was caked in salty seasoning, and the bread was soggy. They only had 1 baby seat, which had a wobbly broken base and a degraded velcro strap. We put our 6 month old in, and he slid down and almost out when the velcro came loose. Not safe. Returned the food after some back and forth with the chef and a rude manager who assumed we had already eaten all the food. (Wouldn't eat it if you paid me!) This place used to be good, but I'm not sure if they changed management or are trying to cut costs or what.

   Only thing I have to say is to the owners of this place. How can you charge $8 for this vegetarian sándwich, little one and not even that good. Not even the airport dares charging this money for a little sandwich. So overpriced, absolutely ridiculous.

   Bare walls let sound echo which makes it very loud and uncomfortable, the kitchen was closed at three, the salad from the counter was too salted and pepped, coffee was half cup and very watery. I just left the food uneaten and went to buy sushi in the food court...

   I used to love this particular Columbus store because of the friendly staff and good variety of cabinet food. But had a very bad experience with one of their staff today. Ordered a $6.50 sausage roll and got the tiniest piece ever. I took it to the counter wondering if it had been cut half by accident, the staff said it was a normal size (which looked way smaller than those displayed in the cabinet). I said to her “this is not something people would want to pay $6.50 for”. She replied “what do you want me to do?” in a very unfriendly way, then immediately turned to another staff complaining about what just happened, right in front of me! Disappointing way of treating your customer.
