   I took my husband's watch here to get a battery installed. I was quoted $100 dollars for it to be sent away and the battery installed. This is an unacceptable huge markup.

   Utter incompetence. Do not get your jewels resized at this place. We paid money to get a quote, was told it would take roughly 4 weeks for the ring to come back after alteration as part of the whole thing. 4 weeks later no one contacted us what so ever. We went back found they received and filed the quote away just before Christmas without ever letting us know this has happened. If I didn’t go back and kept waited, goodness knows what would have happened. The additional 2nd star is at least they refunded us the so called ‘non-refundable’ fee for getting the quote. Avoid this place if you are making changes to your existing jewels. Utter incompetence. The manager was ok, but one of his female staff had the audacity to try and justify it wouldn’t have made a difference. It’s just purely infuriating.

   This review is for Stewart Dawson Store, not the salesperson. I purchased the Tissot (PR100) watch and the next day stopped working probably due to the battery being drained which is okay but the new battery should work for 2 years at least which means they are not maintaining watches properly. According to store policy, they will only give me a store credit and not a refund. Left with no choice and had to wait for 10 working days which ruined my excitement, happiness and craze for my new watch. Careful before investing your hard-earned money. The staff is lovely and polite but bound by stupid store policies which spoil the mood of the customer.

   Living in a town without a Stewart Dawson outlet, I was very pleased to find an online site with an excellent choice of bracelets and bangles. However, the item I wished to purchase was advertised as available only in the shop. After making a phone call and being received very well by a staff member I was ever so pleased to be told without hesitation, that I could make the purchase over the phone.    I purchased a necklace for my daughter today and the woman who served me was so nice and helpful. The item I bought was not very expensive but she put it in a lovely case and bag which does not happen at other jewellery stores unless you spend a lot of money. I was really impressed
