   What a fantastic hidden gem! I’m almost reluctant to leave a 5-star review because that means more and more people will discover Ohourere Lodge and the place will get too busy and we won’t be able to return. The spot is just perfect. Far away enough from town that it’s country and peaceful, but close enough that it’s convenient. The house is immaculate and has everything you need. Cherie is the best host and supplied us with so many yummy goodies for breakfast. The spa is a perfect spot to relax after a day out. Ava the Border Collie is a friendly visitor and if you’re prepared to throw a ball or stick, she’ll gladly guide you for a walk along the river. If you’re looking for a relaxed romantic getaway, look no further!

   Never met a dog who was so into fetch before, it was nice to play with a dog as we were missing ours. The place comes has a great kitchen and bathroom with a very nice hot tub. This was a really relaxing retreat after our activites, highly suggest dolphin watching here.
