   What a delightful experience! At first we were afraid it wasn't really open due to the many boxes stacked up by the door and windows, but we are so glad we snuck our way in! The owner assured us he was too busy selling wine to get organized. There may not be any browsing at this wine shop, but it's OK. Just have an idea of what you like and a price range, and you will get excellent options. We really enjoyed the experience and the great wines.

   What do we have here ! We'll thats what i said when I walked in. The first 3 mins I was extremely overwhelmed by the let's say atmosphere. Then I settled in with a few jokes and words from the quirky owner who is one of a kind. What is this place and I dare you to find one like it. I've lived in this town 9 years and just walked in off the street randomly one day. Walked out with a very rare coconut vodka and a experience I've never had before. Just walk in and take in the whole experience.

   I highly recommend making the stop in Katikati just to have a browse through this incredible quirky, eccentric and fascinating collection of high end and possibly hard to find, or random beverages. I have never left without a varied box of gin, whiskey, liqueurs, wine etc that I may have sometimes not heard of before and I have never been disappointed with his suggestions. I will often repeat purchase previous suggestions. We try to time our travels through Katikati to make it here for opening times although he does courier as well. There is very little wiggle room to walk around, but I kind of like that aspect of the shop's uniqueness, and I think it adds to the experience. See you next time we are traveling through.

   I got pointed to Finer Wines by the Vivino app as they had two highly recommended wines available for order. Great online service, one of the wines I ordered was out of stock so Jim contacted me and gave me the option of a different vintage or to wait a couple of days for more stock. Great to be given the option, I chose to wait. It didn't take long, the bottles arrived the morning after they were sent and were well packed. I recommend :)
