Last minute lunch decision for 2 Cold rainy day and was perfect to get a table next to the fire.. Had the Toastie takeover entry. Lots of pork belly.. Was quite a sweet toasty that lacked a bit of fresh crunch and acid.. the bites I had that had pickle in were better.. Also had the spicy chicken burger.. can't remember what it was called. Very tasty and filling with a very crunchy brioche type bun.. fries could have done with a bit longer in the fryer.. nicely seasoned...great the fries came with sauce and aioli

Fantastic lunch here today. Had burgers that are served on homemade buns - yum! The cafe is full of vintage collections and is really beautiful and comfortable. A great stop off on our way through. Highly recommended!

Excellent! Cooler day and sat outside as dogs allowed - they provide bowls and water. We had eggs Benedict with bacon, mushrooms, greenery and sauce. Cooked to perfection and service with a smile which was also fast and efficient - great coffee as well and all reasonably priced. Well worth pulling off the highway for

What a disappointment. Food was a real let down. Ordered a big breakfast but everything on the plate tasted off. The bacon was just rind and fat, no meat and was a strange colour. The dressing on the salad tasted like it was rotten. Owners dogs were tied up in restaurant snarling at everyone walking past. We told our children not to go near them but as they were tied up near the walkway, our daughter unfortunately got bitten on the arm as we walked past to leave. Such a shame as the place is beautiful but has obviously lost its care and charm it may have once had in years past. Will definitely not be stopping here again.

perfect spot for people passby or who stay in katikati. pretty chill atmosphere, although there’s mistake on the order but the food still good. average price, not too expensive + people are nice!

Always a great place for breakfast and lunch. They have several woodstoves for warmth in the colder months which makes a nice cozy atmosphere. Lots of couches to lounge on and read a magazine or paper while having tea. Not as many vegan options as they used to have, bit still a few on the menu.

This is a great spot to enjoy amazing food in a beautiful rural setting. It's incredibly charming inside and outside, all the layout, decor and details make this place very unique. The gardens are stunning, full of flowers and nice tables. Love all the collector's items inside. They do the best gluten and vegan scones with the most delicious raspberry jam. Coffee is great too. It would be a perfect spot to celebrate a birthday, wedding, or whatever you fancy.

Superb steak and cheese pie. Massive and delicious sausage roll perfectly complemented by the coleslaw it came with. Shared a big bucket of fries that were amazing, best I’ve had in New Zealand (okay I’ve only been here a week but I’ve had quite a few in my life and these are up there). Was a bit weird that the chips came out before the pies but this worked out nicely, the aioli and salsa were great. Nice that the pastry goodies were warmed in the oven not a microwave. Coffees were excellent. Service was good. Toilets were clean. All easily accessible.
