A seemingly "lovely" person on the phone who had absolutely no desire to help me or answer my question. Not very polite either, or unwilling to take the time. I wouldn't go there.

Consistently giving excellent service . I was asked twice if I needed help by staff, which I appreciate. I was also shown the free samples of wallpaper. Thank you to the team on today.
I am writing to express my concern regarding the treatment of staff I observed during a visit to your premises. While inside the building, I overheard a male staff member who appeared to be in a managerial role speaking to another staff member in a manner I found deeply inappropriate. He was loud and used language that was both demeaning and unprofessional. Based on my experience in employee relations, I believe this behaviour may constitute a breach of safe workplace practices. I urge Resene Paints to investigate this matter and ensure that all staff are working in a safe and respectful environment. I have also chosen to raise this issue with MBIE and WorkSafe for further oversight, and I will not be returning to this location.

Very disappointed with the huge variation in colour chart colour to the matching test pot colours. The colours are miles apart.

I have written a few reviews for local businesses in my time, however this store is not one I frequent often and I had never felt my visits warranted a review, until now. This review is based on my 3rd trip into Resene Paints Tauranga. From the outside of the building you can tell there is a reasonable level of hustle and bustle inside.. as I entered through the front glass sliding doors I was greeted with a smile by two friendly enough looking staff standing behind a counter. There were actually several staff members moving throughout the showroom. Customers were being served and assisted, the energy was palpable. I stood off to the left awaiting my turn, I had headed in from out of town (quite a reasonable distance away) to seek advice on painting some outside furniture I have. I was seeking application assistance as well as a referral on the correct product. I find if you speak to the right people and spend the right money, you always end up with the right result. I was not at all disappointed as a friendly staff member peered out at me from inside a small office, a kind eyed, blonde woman in what I would estimate to be her mid 30s with a thick kiwi accent, who’s name I will omit from this review. The woman waved out to me and asked if I was being served. I explained my search for products and knowledge and without skipping a beat this lovely staff member rattled off the products I needed, the application details and even provided me information on how to source further application details should I need them. I found this level of service to be extremely professional and what you could absolutely describe as expert level. The lovely woman explained to me she had been with the company for quite some time and knew her way around a test pot or two. Now with all that said.. I have to admit, I did not purchase any of the suggested items and I did have to leave the store with great haste. I apologise if this is not the right forum to bring up this sort of issue but I felt it more appropriate than pulling the manager aside. You see, whilst she was describing (in excellent detail) the application process for painting my deck chair, this staff member made what I can only describe as a very unusual and unsettling noise, what proceeded the noise was the most horrific, abnormal and frankly concerning smell I have ever experienced in my life. Now I’m not here trying to body shame anyone, I’m aware that we all experience bowel movements and flatulence however the sheer abhorrent odour that this woman expelled was so frightening I had no other choice but to exit the store immediately. I would ask that Resene meet with their staff and discuss any health issues that they may need assistance with. Otherwise though, great shop.
This morning we visited and received excellent service from Rachel. Rachel was able to answer all our questions and was also friendly and helpful with her suggestions.
Megan was lovely to deal with, very helpful even though still learning . Wal however needs to leave his grouchy attitude at home and be cheerful and friendly to customers!!
