Was looking forward to the Vegan Dream, but is was more like a nightmare. Once you removed the two pieces of bread, (one which as the crust), which took up most of the plate, you were left with a very small meal. You get three small kumaru rosti's which are really no bigger than button mushrooms, salad is less than you would normally get as a side salad, two slices of tomato, roughly a couple of tablespoons of avocado mash and hummus. Couldn't see the vegan feta. Didn't look anything like the photo on their Facebook account. Extremely disappointed, especially considering the cost. Atmosphere was nice. Service could be better, if they walked around the table to hand the plates etc to the person, instead of reaching across everyone.

Prices were over the top - far too high at $26.50 for a very small bowl - small portion of coleslaw, a tablespoon of guacamole and some average chicken slices that wasnβt as described in the menu (not sticky or spicy Korean and lacked flavour. Edamme beans were missing, and the cafe were not accommodating for my request of some salad greens instead of rice in the bowl. It was very small and of average flavour. Very few allergy options available and unaccommodating staff. Most of our large group were unsatisfied and unhappy with high end prices for average cabinet food! Wonβt go back.

I have been coming here for years and always have something sweet with coffee. I've spent a lot of money and often brought a group with me. All good business. I met a friend at the cafe last Sunday and for the first time got a cheese scone. On the first bite I knew I could not eat it. The only time this has happened in Palmers I called over the young waitress with either one or two plats. I explained that I was unable to eat the scone and would she kindly swap it for the friand? I said I would pay any difference. She got defensive and said I would have to pay full price for anything else. This feels appalling service and her manner was unpleasant and patronizing. I have never known a cafe where staff have this attitude and will not show good will in this situation. These young girls need, in my opinion, training. I am now reluctant to come back or bring my friends. I would appreciate a response from a manager. Thanks.

Amazing food, great service and a lovely atmosphere. The food was cooked amazingly and tasted just like it looked. Would definitely come again

Great place for a good morning tea. Beautiful plants around the plant centre for atmosphere.

My wife and I have been regular customers here for years but we've noticed that the cabinet food selection offers a very meagre selection if you want vegetarian food. Only the usual lip-service vegetarian frittata. All the paninis and toasties had meat; no vegetarian options. No fresh salads on offer. On asking whether they could make up a vegetarian panini or toastie, there was reluctance and frostiness, making our request sound unreasonable! They reluctantly agreed to make a very basic non-meat toastie, but when it eventually arrived there was a big obvious slice of ham on it! Their "difficulty" with vegetarian meals ( including not clearly labelling whether dishes contain meat) happened previously and dishes ordered have had to be returned in the past when unannounced meat was found. NOT ACCEPTABLE! We're not returning there. That's a shame because the setting is quite pleasant.

Beautiful cafe attached to the garden centre in Bethlehem, Tauranga..when we visited it was quite busy but not uncomfortably so because there was ample seating set in a very pleasant setting. The coffee size was acceptable but most probably on the small side particularly if you usually enjoy a medium to larger cup. The food pricing though I felt was a little over the top ... for example a vege scone at $14.90 . I know that prices have gone up but ... ! Overall this is a nice place to catch-up with friends.

Great coffee, and selection of food. Have always been efficient, friendly and accommodating. Very nice place to meet for coffee, brunch, or lunch. Their Lemon Tart is divine, and the scones are the best I've had, anywhere. Good selection of teas too.

Always a good stopoff here for decent coffee and brunch or lunch. We had the beef nachos for our gluten free daighter, french toast and bacon for the other hungry monster and the veggie stack. If you haven't eaten for days and all you can think about is a big plate to fill the tummy, don't get the veggie stack - it's only just big enough for a wafer thin super model. Order up the big breakfast for big eaters and hungry teenage boys. There's plenty on offer from the cabinet. Coffees are good enough, but not the bestin Tauranga. The girls are always friendly and most times plenty of parking in the Bethlehem Palmers carpark - after you've doused your body in as much caffeine as you can drink, pick up some pot plants and get into the garden to work off some of those calories!
