    We booked here and lost our money as they don't give refunds. It was so dirty we went to another hotel and paid again. I would not want my dogs to stay here it's so dirty! To top it all off the manger was extremely aggressive and rude to us! STAY AWAY

    *Please read full. Just spoke to my friend about his New Zealand trip, where he mentioned this motel or homestay. He said the room was ok but the facilities were all in bad condition. The walls were scraped, bathroom door did not lock and the canteen was barely big enough to fit six. And therefore he rated it 1star on Google, no description... nothing else than the one star. Having not been there myself I couldn't say anything, that's until I saw the message the owner of this motel had sent to my friend's dad. He said something about my friend being very disrespectful, that he welcomed my friend's family good, and that my friend's online behaviour was not acceptable and reflected on his parents' upbringing. Mind you, my friend didn't comment anything, just the one star. Firstly, treating the guest well won't do much as the review mostly reflected on the stay itself, the beds, the shower etc. Secondly, how was his online behaviour unacceptable, he just rated it one star and the owner was offended, mind you he rated it only, no description, which according to the owner, should be based on the friendliness of the host and not the quality of the stay, and apparently reflects his parents upbringing. This owner is clearly in denial, as I saw a similar response to another bad review. Worst thing is, he threatened my friend to delete the review or else he would ban his family from his properties *giggle*, or else the review would tarnish his 2.4 star rating. Threatening a 14 year old seriously? I could've posted a screenshot of the message to prove but It'll destroy his career.
